    Don't cross-contaminate the clean up processes. There are 4 categories of clean up, and they should be dealt with separately: brush, wood, raking, and stubs. Don't toss a stub in my brush pile, don't leave a piece of brush stuck to a log, don't go tossing logs ontop of what I just raked.

    A compass with an inclinometer is probably a bit cheaper, very accurate, never runs out of batteries, and does a hundred other tasks too. Shoot the angle, pace it out, and do a little trig.

    Blue moon, 28" Epicord 9.3, michocan 4/1. I'm about 160 lbs. I've used a couple other types of knots and cordage and they were mostly fine, but this is completely different. Still gotta try it in the rain but it's so far it's wicked smooth in all directions.
