So, this is a long story but.......Late last year Ben was involved in a very serious accident at work. He had a large dead top in a tree blast him. He had a multitude of injuries, breaks, lacerations and a head injury. He was unconscious for a period of time and had a couple surgeries. I communicated with him almost daily for months during his recovery. He was making miraculous progress and was in a satisfactory head space considering. He lost his Mom a couple years ago and she left him a large piece of property he was living on by himself. He was putting as much work in as he could with his injuries but honestly Ben is a tough old cobber and he was making the best of it. I'm April, mid conversation he dropped off instagram. Account closed overnight. No hints, nothing said, literally mid sentence. He hasn't been active her or on YouTube for years. I know he was about to try to go back and do a little climbing and see if his mental state would cooperate with him. I've gotten as far as I can tracking him down. I found someone who was able to give me a lead on a possible address and business name but no response from any of that. No response to his email and no phone answering. I've head an impasse. I'm worried for my friend. The shutting down of the account seems to be something someone would do with purpose but mid conversation seems odd. I'm not saying we were best mates but we did talk a lot and about some deep subjects. I've put out requests for info in the socials but figured I'd drop something in here. Like I said, it seems unusual he'd just leave without saying something. I don't really know what I expect from posting this but who knows. I have a possible address for him if anyone is around Adelaide. I don;t even know if the do obituaries or anything in OZ so I don't know how to track from here. Anybody have any ideas?
