Needed the long rope today...used the Reflex on All Gear's Cherry Bomb 11.8mm today. MRS. Long rope walk up (I know...should have done that SRS then switched over, but I didn't). Performed flawlessly.
If you are making $60K (single - which I know you said you are married with kids...but just an example):
22% federal
7.65% fica
(another 7.65% fica if you own your own business...)
3% California State
31% isn't out of the question for even lower end of middle class income.
Oh...yeah, city...
Did some more digging...12' flat bed installed on a cab & chassis truck is $5700 for the bed $1200 for the installation (at least first quote I got....just exploring feasibility for now). So that's not to terrible. "Backpack" tool box (between the cab and bed) is about $4000-5000 - so that...
Visited this tree today...prop still holding well.
To hold the tree, I put a 2x4 solid brace between the 4x4 s and used dynamic cable at the top of the triangle to make a "sling" for the tree to sit in. I think it's preventing damage that would have happened if lumber were right against the...
Yes...page 12 of the manual: https://www.iscwales.com/Uploads/Products/UIMs/1-327-5-3012-1-MH285-Mechanical-HitchUIM.pdf (again, with the blasted instructions!)
Of course, I searched for the part KT311A and it doesn't show up, so maybe its only theoretically replaceable. But it is removable...
the plastic liner is supposed to be replaceable, so might not be a bad idea...loosen it up a little bit is all it needs to be easier to feed the biner in and out.
FWIW, I did try a RockO and it does, indeed fit. I guess I didn't need to but the ISC Small Oval since I already had the RockO...I...
Probably not necessary on c-channel, but maybe with angle iron (obviously depends on thickness of material). Two straps welded at the bottom should do it still keeping it open.
Rather than rectangular tube how about 2 pieces of c-channel (or just angle iron) with a gap between them so you don't need to worry about drain holes?
how are you storing/transporting the rake? Just hook it into the grapple for transit then drop it on site when using the grapple? Anybody have a good rack or the like built to hold the rake?
A) being hungry is supposed to drive you to do better with sales...but as an arborist that's always been a little distasteful to me - I want to help people care for their trees and be motivated by that not by up selling soni can make more. But point being hungry should lead to hustle.
B)...
Not that it isn't a concern...but parked inside at night. Work in relatively low crime area. Of course it only takes one A-hole to really make for a bad day. Had a builder fried have his equipment trailer stolen from a job site where he was leaving it overnight. I got to thinking if I had to...
So I'm thinking I might want a cabover - for turning radius and fitting into driveways or between driveways parking on the street. Maybe that's a bad idea?
If I do that, the next decision is 2 door or 4 door. Found a few similar vehicles. 4 door is $10K more on these...the reason I'd want 4...
Dump trailer.
Currently haul the loader in that It need to stop back at the job site to pick up the loader after dumping. My goal is to eliminate that return visit.
In Avant 528 only weighs 3100 lb without attachments... The thought of sideloading gives me pause. I was generally asking to...
If you think of it, that would be great... Don't go out of your way. For now I'll just put it on the list of possibilities. If I end up with a vehicle where I need that, I'm a bug you again if you don't come across it easy now. Thanks!
