The beep is tied to the switch not the pins (at least in my 528). If you have the pins up when you turn the machine off, it puts them back down when you turn the machine off. But even if you leave the switch down, it doesn't lift them back up when you start the machine again...so pins down but it is beeping. Also my homemade trailer mover isn't perfectly lined up and needs shaking to get into place...switch was closed, but a pin wasn't down and it did not beep. So kinda double confirmation it's the switch position regardless of pins. I'd prefer it be pin location regardless of switch...It doesn't beep if it misses? I normally shake it as well. We'll see this week. Just got the machine back.
