What's the ETA on the rebuild? Bummer.

The issue got messy enough I'm not allowed to make large financial moves while this is being sorted. I agree, it seems like it should be a simple fix. Part of the issue now is we depleted reserves plus legal fees, etc. We still have a tractor, but it's wildly inefficient compared to the 755i...

The number of times that I think about "closing" and hiring a few laborers to do my bidding for cash..... Cheesy.... Yes. @Evo, without getting too heavy into it, since day 1 I had issues with attachments falling off of the plate... Pretty severe issue. It's not been unique to any implement...

I don't know how much more I can bend. Business ownership is a wild ride. Our avant situation with the dealer has crippled our operation for more than six months now. The loss of efficiency is costing an average of 20-40k per month, plus legal costs and payment costs. Without the avant the...

Break test on a climbing line that has been “spiked”

@Muggs makes a strong point, your tip is all that should be "sharp". If they're sharpened incorrectly I've seen where the edges are like razors. Super dangerous because you're cutting fibers. If the tip is all that's sharp it's less likely to cut and just pushes them apart, like a fid. Easier to...

    Storing a branch manager

Grapple open, touch the grapple to the ground, back up 2-3 feet, flip switch, rock down, pull back and done. If you're looking to store it on a trailer for transport, you'd need to make a grab point, similar to the bm rake opening. No tips on the auger.

    Oak Bramble?

Can we see more photos of the site? Additionally, Chris luleys book on wood decay fungi, or his website: https://www.treerot.com/ will help identify if the fungus is parasitic or not. I agree with the sentiment of crown reducing, if possible and safe, based on the limited context of the...

    Mini skid idler bearing removal

Also, not sure with your specific model, but check for snap rings. They sometimes rot off or are recessed really well. May not apply here but easy to check for.

I really like the stumper. The articulation of the machine gives you a wide swing.
