How would you differentiate levels of climbing arborist in a job listing?
As well, non- climbing arborist work (Japanese maples, orchards), RCX, consulting, etc?
Some work is basic/ moderate.
There are a lot a lot of trees that we climb (I climb) that are probably considered challenging due to size and poor condition possibly with tight DZs. I would feel apprehensive sending a lot of climbers (including current employees) up a lot of them with omly a handful of years of experience, especially if new to the area.
Beyong hazardous trees, long limb walks in big coniferous trees are needed for end-weight reduction pruning along with chasing long deciduous limbs over obstacles.
I was talking to 2 Seattle Bartlett employees. They were talking like 30' initial TIPs were regular. I'm generally looking for 60' by hand, sometimes 100-120' with a standard Big Shot.
