City Forests Webinar: Ground-Based LiDAR and Tree Structure, July 10, 2026 - CEUs Available

Dear Community Members,

I am pleased to invite you to the next session in the City Forests Webinar Series, “Applications of Ground-Based LiDAR in Urban Tree Structure Measurement and Implications for Ecosystem Services”, taking place on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1:00–2:00 p.m. CST.

This informative webinar will explore recent advances in methods and technologies for measuring urban tree structure, with a focus on emerging tools such as ground-based LiDAR. Participants will learn how structural attributes, including aboveground wood volume, biomass, and carbon storage, influence ecosystem services such as carbon sequestration and urban wood utilization. The webinar will also highlight how urban tree structure data can support science-based management decisions to enhance the sustainability and resilience of urban forests.

There are CEUs available for ISA Certified Arborists if you attend the entire webinar.
