@Evo, without getting too heavy into it, since day 1 I had issues with attachments falling off of the plate... Pretty severe issue. It's not been unique to any implement either. It's destroyed the panels of the avant, cost thousands in repairs frequently, and flat out isn't safe to operate. It's under warranty, has been to the shop a half dozen times. After the last time I was told nothing can be done, but they won't fix it or comp me for it.

Unfortunately, after having a baby in December and the machine self destructing the last few months, I ate up all of my reserves. Plus I've blown through most of my PHC/recurring work and pruning work. We're making due and still able to produce the floor, but it's no way to live.

I'm sorry to hear y'all have been going through it as well. Glad things are in the up and up for you at least. Court stuff is just a mid grade constant stress. Wakes me up at night. At least the crazy ex employee is finally leaving us alone. Lol.

@data farm 26 David and I talk about this daily. Society is in a contraction, it seems. My wife and mines goals are literally to be home more. We worked so hard and I've missed much of my daughters rearing.

Our goals have changed quite a bit because of all of this. Hoping it's for the best.

Like intercoms, about $250 per person, unnecessary a lot of times, helpful sometimes, crucial other times, worth the money, saves/ makes money over a short time.

Even one more crew-hour of comfortable work in one day knocks repays .

I've gotten mine out one day, but it didn't turn out to be so hot.

Dang, what’s the issue with the attachment plate? For it to constantly make attachments fall off seems to be either a plate issue or a latch issue!

At the risk of a derail, I keep looking into these but have yet to pull the trigger. How long do they help before they lose their cool? Can they be recharged with an ice cooler and rotate with a 2nd one on the job, or do they require a freezer?

This doesn't solve your Avant problem, but how about picking up a bobcat mt100? I paid $38,000 2 years ago at 0% intrest. If it picks up the slack it'll pay for itself in 1-2 months according to your numbers. It'll increase your current efficiency and give you a second machine when your Avant comes back.

I'm not familiar with Avant, but the attachment plate on the bobcat is removed with two bolts and the pin in the tilt cylinder. Can you order a new attachment plate and bolt it on your avant? I get the principal of the issue, but you can argue compensation after the fact while your loader is making you money.

The issue got messy enough I'm not allowed to make large financial moves while this is being sorted.

I agree, it seems like it should be a simple fix. Part of the issue now is we depleted reserves plus legal fees, etc. We still have a tractor, but it's wildly inefficient compared to the 755i. It's enough to make ends meet but not enough to put reserves back in.

We don't do much in yards, since we're in expanding urban rural interface. I deeply appreciate the offer. I guess this is the issue you get when a piece of equipment is "critical" to the design of the operation.
 
A week to look at it- they said
(2.5 weeks later... $1700 estimate for bearing , seals, some replacement shaft or something).

5 weeks to get a new one.

3-4 days for parts, day or two for my slot in the bench.

Small shop of guys who've left a reputable shop to go in partnership on their own shop, 3 miles away.

at least the price isn't horrible...that's a long wait though
