Linear Force as a Dimension Model

HNY to all !

All the examples shown in drawings and real life are this same principle of when within the same system: If in the same UNIQUE Dimension or not; to cover all possibilities. Mostly, each is a mix of the 2 extremes of purely in the SAME UNIQUE Dimension, or purely NOT (as parent extremes). cos:sin ratio shows how much length, force is expressed in Same Dimension vs not. The chart of ALIGNED and NON-ALIGNED shows this goes beyond cos:sin definitions.

Really all this is as 'simple' and (yet) complete as a Zen riddle..

Either something of the same system/space is :
•in the same unique benchmark dimension(cos force and of cos patterns in left column of above chart)
or
•it is not(sin force and of sin patterns in right column of above chart)
To Be or NOT To Be is the question( yin/yang) and then the sum total of both's expressions in a system!

For rigids/non flexibles another slice of the that same previous chart focuses another category of forces in:
•the unique aligned dimension of force in the system/space(left side effects of chart at cos value)
or
•the not aligned parts(right side of chart effects at sin value)

Again the cos/aligned dimension carries 1 force and force pattern;
while the sin /not aligned Dimension carries the other force(s) and pattern.
Failure happens when either Dimension forces are greater than that dimension's support capacity(usually from cross dimension effects). The crossing dimension forces can not be carried by the inline capacity NOR pattern(and vice versa). This makes all the difference..

Notice in the simple models we have only 3 types of how linear input forces can be expressed:
•tension only (so is of the aligned Dimension in the system)
•compression only (so is of the aligned Dimension in the system)
•both at once (so is of the crossing Dimension in the system)
So even these force patterns are per Dimension, like cos:sin ratio; and the leveraged length clip of chart shown above. Everything is about if in the same Unique Dimension of the system or not (and how much so of each for cos:sin) as key factors. This defines how knots, rigging, hinging, leveraging, reaching etc. etc. plays out.

Relating to things by Dimension , it’s attributes including cos:sin value pair of how much of Same vs. Not Dimensions; has made me a better rigger, driver, knottier, worker etc. as i do things more purposefully to these powers, L-earn from that, and can see reflections of the same common principle into the other skills. For they are all facets/examples of this same lesson to me. So the knowledge, familiarity in one can be reflected into others; as they each re-affirm as echo each other’s same root functions in this model. To the point of seeing how could it be any different in rope, when even stars and microbes follow this pattern.
 
Once again to divide the examination between 2 opposing parts of to the unique Same Dimension of the force flow (as benchmark Dimension) in the system vs. not(everything else) to the sum total of the all; i show this part too from same chart referenced as from above post#18. As it's own stand alone aspect of the orchestration of the scenario; and as further proof that this is the way to look at things, including the cos:sin value pair usage.

This one applies to all things too; including even backing a trailer..
The model i find for direction of Dimensional forces (that cos:sin shows how much of the total to the Same Dimension vs. Crossing Dimension) is like an elastic reference. Where as the E&O(Equal & Opposite)forces serve toward's the center of an device in the Force's Same Dimension, the reaction is for Cross Dimension forces to serve away from center. And vice-versa.

So pulling a trailer forward forces in Same Dimension pull away from center (cos xForce): so the E&O side force conjured in Crossing Dimension serves towards center(sin xForce). Like if going to be tall/long must be skinny kind of effect.
vs.
When pushing a trailer backwards the Same Dimension forces push towards center (cos xForce); the E&O side force conjured in Crossing Dimension serves away from center(sin xForce). In other words it wants to go to the side towards jackknifing when backing because of the sin xForce urging it so. Same value pulling forward serves towards centerline not away so easier to pull. So elastic model referred to if compress, force urges must swell from center on cross axis, where if stretched goes skinny on cross axis. Each time cross Dimension force Direction is opposite Direction of original Direction like can model with putty, the volume has to go somewhere..

The sin xForce at 30° is 50% xForce; after that more of the force (and distance) input by the vehicle is serving towards jackknife. So if 12 and 6 on the clock shows the Aligned Dimension, once backing trailer want to for sure keep straight as can and definitely between 5 and 7 o'clock, cuz the math says so. After that more of trailer going out of line than inline.. You can feel this, especially when can define it and watch it play out, then applies to EVERYTHING !

All the rigging, hinging, pulling, backing etc. etc. works by these Dimensional values of if something is in the Force Dimension vs. Crossing Dimension or not. And if not purely in either, then a mix of both to these patterns in the table, and values of cos:sin. i have an EASY mnemonic of cos:sin value pair rounded to the 'minutes' on the 360°clock; that is always with me to be my 'decoder ring' to constantly examine and re-affirm back these principles.

In the 'magic' of our rigging and hinging scenarios; this is the hand of the magician to watch to see the secrets as if 'behind the curtain'. Many other things can be the other distracting hand, perhaps say on the visible side of the curtain..

i like stuff especially where not only can numerically define, but then also be in touch with the feel/have a feel for these things that the math defines so can even tune in better as also re-affirms the math. Or rather they re-affirm each other. Hear with the trailer struggle, and another is a child's swing. Straight hang without side force in swing is cos benchmark position of 100%cos(and of max vert reach)as the definitive organic balanced, static position. Statically 90° horizontal to support bar would be 0%cos thus 100%sin(of max horiz reach). BUT dynamically/in motion the limit of the swing (and of horiz reach)arc is 0% cos at the breathless stall (that can feel)before return. 100% is still straight down and is full speed felt(and furthest vert Dimension reach). This cos:sin stuff of Dimensional influence amount goes this far here, the same rate for static vs dynamic changes, even tho different ranges ... The changes in speed on swing between breathless stall of 0 at sides and full 100% speed at bottom once defined can define speed at any point in swing by cosine% of the range of motion!!! Every thing follows this same scale of change from null to full, as feel in child's swing!!!

Thought folks weren't interested; while i started in a new department at work for the New Year too; kinda less time to focus, let alone 'draw' these out from the basis deep within.


i still maintain
that just a few things together are the most important determining factors to the forces(and distances) faced in tree/and all other works; so as to flood from so many directions it is hard to choose were to start! But once found/traced completely re-affirm each other. What is seen as hard to understand, then becomes 'easy' in that they are consistently repeating aspects, once see the same form in all.

EVERYTHING hinges on if a force(or distance) is aligned in the same Dimension as the target perspective(support etc.) or not. Just like as to the same perspective of a person's view vs. all else, to then be the sum true total of all.
One facet to see this central truth thru is as an Eastern line of thought of IS or IS NOT as a yin/yang(as in sig); to then together define the sum of the whole happening comprehensively.
Then the cos:sin ratio in tables are the percentages of how much IS:IS NOT to reveal/define the whole of what is happening.
EVERYTHING has an opposite like this; a 'non' in these Eastern type terms.
Change, even as support against, we can define then as a rigid displacement against the opposing 'non' state, that's all !
 
In compass terms (as 1 facet of this jewel to see these central truths by/thru)
For one thing immediately we can show a difference between 2 different types of change patterns.
BOTH define change as the rigid displacement against the non of the focused item for study.
This is the same for displacing against empty space as a footprint, or in distance travel and/or force; as all the same model applied; decoded with the same number scale.
Of 2 types shown hear:
A>There Polar Opposites(nons) are simpler as are more intuitive; that haven't shown.
B>Dimensional Opposites(nons) are what have been talking about; as need more study.

A>Polar Opposites
that rigidly displace against each to express change, as shown on a simple compass, would be within the SAME Dimension; as like N/S axial (North & South on compass).
Being that these are in the SAME Dimension; they are cosine=100%. So the change is incrementally even, whereby 10units North flipped to South is 10units. Or even a 10unit span of length, of which 2units is North, defines 8 of the units are then South etc. And the total sum amount of N_units + S_units will always equal the original 10. Very straight forward, in very neat, even units of IS:IS NOT considerations (of if in SAME Dimension).

B>Dimensional Opposites(by contrast)
would NOT be within the SAME Dimension; as like N/E crossing Dimensions (like North & East on compass). of change)
Then the ONLY time 10units will evenly go to another point is when from pureNorth to pureEast (or any other crossing, 90°). This is also the ONLY time the total sum of the original to new direction is equal to the original sum(besides when in single Dimension). VERY counter-intuitively, ANY other change outside of a 1Dimensional axial and less than 90° of change MUST in total be greater than 100% in total of IS + IS NOT(cos+sin) of Dimensions total considerations for the whole scenario!!!!!

For example, the change from pure North of 10units potential to just 45° towards East (N/E) will show 70.7% remaining towards North, while ALSO showing a drift of 70.7% East !! (Only at this 45° does cos=sin, and both are .707). At 45° is also the greatest sum of cos+sin(=1.414). Changes in SAME Dimension or full from 1 to another Dimension cos+sin=1. So if between 2 Dimensions 1 < cos+sin < 1.414 .
Looking at this 45° cos has gone from 100% N, and dropped only 29.3% to 70.7%(amount still expressing in the SAME Dimension as Load); while sine has gone from 0% to JUMP to 70.7% at the same time! NOT an equal trade-off!

Note how we can still be Xunits of North from benchmark 'dot', and move pure East and not change the N/S value. ONLY if we do not move purely on either axis do we get change of both N&E, but not matching amounts of change. Therefore N/S and E/W are different Dimensions; bound in the same scenario tho.

'Simply'the reason the changes follow these cos:sin tables (when not just simply polar change or unique perpendiculars of change in 100% increments) is because the change does not step intuitively/ evenly in tiered equivalent tradeoffs to then maintain the same sum together. Nor does it simply slide nor jump between points; but rather just simply organically FLOWS from 1step of change to the next. This then is as a circular form over time; in a cycling if repetitively applied full scale; just as found in the stars and planets and gifted forward to us by the Ancients.

EVERYTHING works the same on any planet with this as thee organic/Natural Universal form of change. When not fully in SAME Dimension or from 1 Dimension fully to next. So when there is some change of each Dimension; everything has these not matching, but varying tradeoffs between still aligned to benchmark Dimension vs NOT. Seems like small one off points; BUT applies to EVERYTHING; including trees and ropes in our world. With trees as example of rigid fiber model, and rope as flexible fiber model; it is all here...
 
Tho, show on compass N/S axial as primary perspective Dimension and E/W of crossing, opposing Dimensional perspective, ANY bidirectional of polar equal/opposite pair can be used. As to say forget the needle pointer (as shown) and consider just turning the compass drawing to claim any primary focus as North, reverse polarity to opposite direction as South but still same Dimension The circle works, as the form of cycle as typical and minimal scope for this study of all things.

SAME from Clock Face perspective, only better !
Tho, i do prefer a round clock's face perspective as the circular model, for EASILY ASSIGNS VALUES to the study, to reveal things by. So a clock/watch is my 'decoder ring' to see deeply into constant examples all around to their root meaning by value! As a reminder we are still talking about the same topic as the earlier diagrams all the time, specifically the is:is not aligned table/breakdowns of force patterns (click link); only now from the number perspective of how much force etc. in those same patterns. On clock 12/6(12:forward, 6:reverse) is the aligned axis of present perspective as like N/S and 3/9 the crossing. Just as compass the N can be used really for any direction, so then too on clock model 12noon can be any Direction.

First reduce from 90 positions/degrees of numbered value pairs to know to 16 positions (of minutes on clock)
90 positions to 15 (1 minute every 6°) !!
AND can cheat even more when realize that the cos/sine scales are reverses of each other, so only have to know 1(then reversed for the other) !!
BUT, then again if realize that 45° is 7.5 minutes as center median where both cos and sine are equal to 70.6%
AND only really to know the extremes and this center for most things as gosh dang good eye guesses and L-earning from everything seen or felt.
BUT then too only need to know 1 extreme set to flip to the opposite extreme set on the other side of the 45° median!

Whereby the 0+2 minute position ,( reversed flip to opposite extreme) 13(15-2) minute pair of cos:sin ratio pair
SO for 2minutes(12°) guestimate cos=98% means that @13minutes(74°) sin=98% etc, etc. !!!
This melts most of the difficulty of chasing 90 degrees of considerations individually for cosine and sine to very few with clock/watch as evaluating protractor in own head ...for handyman's rule of thumb considerations.

Reducing most needed to know 15 pairs of values to 7 pairs
So the lower deflections from pure inline(high noon, 12) to 30°@ minute5 comes down to these 6 benchmarks of QUICK calculations for me; as most used! Then can if need to also realize the reverse extreme ; as the opposing 'wings' around the 45° median between for pretty full table of values quickly. This skips minutes6,78,9 that are really least used, can interpolate between 7.5minutes @45° median to other extreme if must, in time, after understand everything else solid-not that hard to L-earn in time. Then can read many things like a book to L-earn (and witness )these things from all day long...

make the primary (0° deflection) and middle(45°) pairs of values common sense (to leave only 5pairs to know now!)
So if can just remember at 7.5minutes(45°) cos=sin=70.7%, and the end is 100%:0% value pair
and these 5 other few value pairs that clock face gives mnemonic guide to make easy: can read and rule most practical in field immediate lessons and 'command' of things. What was complex to 'command', can become simple.

How to use clock face to easily remember these 5 number pairs (besides end0° and median45°)!
This gives a beginning, simplistic view to this world, that can be in few steps EASILY added to in this up to the minute context. if can remember 100%:0% at 1 end and 70.7%:70.7% in middle there are only 5 more pairs to know ; that clock gives hints of! To make these key remaining degree minute's values (that can flip to opposite extreme of minutes10,11,12,13,14(and 15 that will be cos:sin pair of 0%:100%). Maximum coverage from minimal effort !

But then to make even simpler the 10 values for 5 cosines:5sines between 0°and 30°(minutes1,2,3,4,5) go like this
easiest to remember : minutes1,2,3,4,5 sine value=~10xThe minute marker so sines are=10,20,30,40,50% respectively !
The matching cosines for minutes1,2,3,4,5 values =~100% -1,-1,-3,-4,-5 (collectively) so are =99%,98%,95%,91%,86% !!!
that is how the clock face works to help remind of pattern AS shows the hashmark for the angle of deflection.
The also flipped to other side of median and add the 70.7% median between and the 0% and 100% extreme values. can 'own' the tools that is pretty much all need for rule of thumb field work and understanding for many tasks and departments less than 1% off each!

May i please say can be DOABLE to know (rather than no)this !! On the clock's angled numeric reminders for with these minimizations to read MANY things....keys to the (many) 'kingdoms'.
Have even kiddingly won wagers on this; but will say now as did then, the parlor trick of values is NOTHING compare to what can get out of and L-earn from them once everything around is decoded with this simple scale !!!!!!!!

Another mnemonic i have found is the pattern shows as like 'power hungry'. Where by from the cos=100% or sine=100% opposite side, the changes are most nominal up to 30° from either; BUT from the 0% side of either cos or sine the changes JUMP quickly out the gate and only slow down some when hit 50% at 30° from either low extreme. So much so that for starting at high noon, 50% sine is hit in 5 minutes as 30°, so then in value mirroring 50%cosine is hit at 10minutes as 60° then !!!! S0 cos or sine 'power hungry' favors being loaded more than not ! It grabs to build from 0% faster than it gives up ground/value coming down from 100%(for either cos or sine, same rule)


A few times i have mentioned to 'command' things(like macho version of what i ken can force); but really look it as understanding how to align things to correct Dimension humbly as servant to and for Nature to do the forcing. Even if it my own physical strain, have to funnel it to the right 'channel' for Nature to use. For all riggings, knots, hinging, pulling, backing trailer it is all the same, so much so can take lessons from 1 to all the rest once make the proper connections of these things. This is why i keep trying to share it out, it is all that; 1 concept to L-earn for the many disguises it takes of many forms. But unda'the hood same 'engine mechanix'.

You can really feel the backing trailer (towards 6 on the 12noon is forward clock) when wants to jack knife more once hit 5 or 7minutes for either side of 6o'clock on the clock where sine=50% and any further is even greater than 50% side force. Cuz if 50%+ of the trailer weight, side direction and push are to the side , rest of trailer will probably go with it ....!!!!! And this is 'body knowledge' from feeling this as a deeper depth to me, to feel how the forces go to make judgements more instictively.

As far as making money, my dream was if 'won lottery' to donate money to alma mater "Wabash H.S." where much of this started for me in gymnastics (thus my focus on 'feel' for these things towards an innate 'body knowledge'). To then also 'bribe' a math teacher to try to present in same classroom where a teacher once thru chalk in the chalkboard ledge and walked away, out of the room as i fumbled to express... i was there after a short time in a seminary studying under Augustinian Theologians (7yrs doctorates in religion ) monks. Parents had moved to Wabash, a town so small their claim to fame is/was 1st electrically lighted city in the world (ie. a light on top of court house that could be seen to the outskirts of town), quite a rural change from Chicago!

youTube thoughts and study of animation lead back to these same principles:
Was looking at animation(towards perhaps youTube) , when started teaching self about animation some when went to black background for pix around Y2K, previously were all white background scribblings in msPaint starting at ISA forum where 'met' Tom and Mark etc. Big re-affirming lesson in animation research that brought me back to same position and solidified my stance even more was when before there was push a button for animation motion, but rather program the change mathematically. Quiet, simply could not escape this organic pattern wherever looked. Found the BEST animation was achieved when followed a cos or sine scale for motion, sound, color change, shadow fades etc. etc. ! As the organic pattern of change!! In fact, trying Virtual Reality can look fakey otherwise. i defined this to self as our grunt level mind could tell the difference if was what was used to looking at or not whole life(and mebbe before?). So, as in previous post this can be easy , as embrace grunt mind knew already what higher mind struggled with !! Everywhere i looked, it all came back around to these concepts as shown!

Key, most expressive stolen terms from 1 discipline, to use across all studies:
Animations of CHANGE looked, sounded even felt more ORGANIC(animation lessons is where stole that term from for expressing all this in all things). Jest as stole the term 'DISPLACEMENT' from engine verbiage to then too, use all across all studies of this. If see my usage of these terms in this comprehensive study (for especially ropes); these are the roots of these terms for those usages for me.

A bit of a twist for extensions to other side of meridian, but DOABLE!
Once again the pattern shows as greedily only lose from 100% extreme (of table_1) power slowly.
But greedily, hungrily gain quickly from 0% extreme (in table_2)
for cos or sine (across the 2 tables). sorry exuberance went over 1000char. limit !)
 
How much should you scrutinize , polish in 1 direction or other as much as can, depends on how highly reactive that change is X how badly needed to target or to guard against overload failure..

0% extreme end even a bit of change is most reactive to play with or guard against:
The first table range in previous post shows that from the 100% extreme value for cos or sine; the response reaction from change varies from most minimally to just nominally from 1minute (or even degree) to the next.
Whilst by extreme contrast , the 2nd table shows that from the 0% extreme value for cos or sine; the the response reaction to change IS CONSISTENTLY high impacting from 1minute (or even degree) to the next.
All the while, the ONLY time cos=sine is the median 45°(7.5 minutes) from either extreme at the matching of 70.7% each. NOT 50% each, but still equal %'s to each other!


After a few nibbles previously, hear is the full table for by the minute sin:cos value pairs
i show the easiest to remember 5 10% series first from the 0% extreme of sine and cos degrees then the dribble down to 1% change per minute; to reveal the whole pattern of change across the reversible scale.
Note how the sine angle complimentary(to sum 90°)has the same cosine value ;
thus 6°sine value = 84° cos value (both values are 10% cuz 6°+84°=90°)
So,then and too the complimentary minute to a total of 15

If not opposed to further rounding can say that from 0% extreme just look at 10% change to meridian, then dwindling from~7%(6% 2x; no 2% but 1% 2x) change each minute past.
After prefixing intros of the extremes on either side of the meridian, i hope can dive thru this more firmly.
See the subtlety in change being greater in the lesser end, yet change smaller in the bigger/100% end as this jsut simply rolls along..
But, alas, the calling out the numbers easily over both ranges of the pairs is but like a frat parlor trick,
compared to what you can 'command', see and L-earn from them.

Rope rigging of long lateral from over roof example:
Example; rigging to pull to side on a long lateral branch from overhead branch to the desired pull side:
Hitching on load to pull not so much from desired direction to support branch,
but rather from center is better, and from opposing side of lateral load even more so.
While on the support rigging feeding off the side of support closest to load is not as good;
as rigging from the opposing side of support from load,
Because in the under 45° or 7.5minute range, you get the MOST powerful reaction to any change of the spread from support to load given same load and support. Expressed best on tight line Rigidly Displacing against Load from the overhead support. (preTighen what can and serve down some at 1st to autoTighten even more as load settles some into rig )to such a tension while still about horizontal it about floats and MUST serve to target direction. Would seek for hitch pull on load to be just a bit before C.o.G. for most leveraged response and balanced load that still pulls way from climber.

keeping same tension in line while moving toward support instead of losing the tension:
But, then too, should know that as Load moves directly towards support, lose tension(from properly tensioned line);
UNLESS Load movement angle is @45° whereby it drifts down (to tighten line more) at same rate it drifts across (relieving tension more), for both are equivalent adjustments. If can usher this orchestration to Nature properly (and have room for it like sidewards sweep from declining slant of roof, the magic can look breathlessly easy (which can help sell more jobs to onlookers...)! They may even call you Uda(man or woman) and/or call you 'Often' instead of your given name(if don't mind). This also takes good ground control of confidently relieving some tension when needed for the motions.

Thought folks weren't interested; while i started in a new department at work for the New Year too; kinda less time to focus, let alone 'draw' these out from the basis deep within.

that just a few things together are the most important determining factors to the forces(and distances) faced in tree/and all other works; so as to flood from so many directions it is hard to choose were to start! But once found/traced completely re-affirm each other. What is seen as hard to understand, then becomes 'easy' in that they are consistently repeating aspects, once see the same form in all.

EVERYTHING hinges on if a force(or distance) is aligned in the same Dimension as the target perspective(support etc.) or not. Just like as to the same perspective of a person's view vs. all else, to then be the sum true total of all.
One facet to see this central truth thru is as an Eastern line of thought of IS or IS NOT as a yin/yang(as in sig); to then together define the sum of the whole happening comprehensively.
Then the cos:sin ratio in tables are the percentages of how much IS:IS NOT to reveal/define the whole of what is happening.
EVERYTHING has an opposite like this; a 'non' in these Eastern type terms.
Change, even as support against, we can define then as a rigid displacement against the opposing 'non' state, that's all !
Trust me Kenny, there are still folks around here like me (though I don't post as often anymore) who care and appreciate the hard work, time and effort that you put in to your posts! What dept. are you working in now?
