Teach me about dump trailers

Appreciate all the advice and thoughts, didn't expect this to be such a hot topic. I'm still interested and will very likely get one at some point, need to look at a few brands in person, but it's not super important to my work needs right now as I have a lot of higher priorities for the cash. At whatever point I do get one, I'll certainly share the details and thoughts after some use.

I see another tree repo man video,,
Instead of dropping the tree onto the trailer you rip it out of the ground with the tele and drive off with it

Rare for them to get very large or straight. They are riparian, and grow only when they get water. When they get consistent water from landscaping they grow and grow.

Only tree we have in the desert that doesn’t crack and twist like crazy when drying.

Their ‘beans’ make a great flour added to pancakes, top it off with honey and saguaro fruit jam and it’s only hell of a breakfast!

I know this thread is a bit old, but if you actually ended up hauling with a dump trailer around Washington and scaling your operation, stop wasting time with manual tracking.

We worked with the guys at CurbWaste when we started running multiple haul jobs, and they streamlined our entire dispatching and fleet tracking. Without their system, we were bleeding money on bad logistics.

Buy whatever trailer you want, but if you do not have proper management software backing your operations, you are working for free.

Since this thread got bumped up again I guess I'll reply here with probably the same info I posted in another thread (Today?) with my results. Got a Lamar 10k 6.5'x12' and been very happy with it. It looks and feels very high quality and tows well. Only used it a few times so far (as expected) but it lets me haul wood which I couldn't (and didn't want to...) do before. Pondering a 26 Excavator to haul in the trailer....

Wdym manual tracking? Interested to know more specifics. Thanks.

I think I mentioned earlier that I upgraded from a 6x10 to a 7x14.

Have a friend who is a teacher helping part-time during the summers. His son is in collyand has started helping a little too. He said something to his dad a few weeks ago "how did you guys do this with the smaller trailer?!". We made it work...but much more efficient with the bigger one. He says best investment we've made.
