Derrick, I wish the Chair would grow a set and answer the Srt question. I don't see it as a big deal, but I'm only the assistant to the chair.

The Assistant to the Chair is on thin ice. This indiscretion does not bode well...

Uhh, ok. Your face does not bode well...for your face.

What would the Chair have me do? You definitely needed to grow a set, and I was just pointing that out on a public forum. I don't see what the big deal is.

Hey Tree People,
Please see the attachments for information about the 2011 Kentucky Tree Climbing Championship. It is getting close so try to get back to me soon to let me know if you are interested in participating. Those of you that I've spoken with recently don't need to call again.

Bump. What would the Chair have me do? We can turn this into a really big deal if need be. I don't even care if I get promoted to assistant Chair. I can be assistant to the Chair for however long it takes.

See you in the morning, Skipper.

Here is the Gear Inspection form. It will help everyone, including you, if you have your form filled out with all your gear documented prior to Friday night.

A message from the Head Judge:

Good day contestants.
On the gear inspection sheet, please indicate if you are going to use an SRT system in any event. We will allow the Rope Wrench, but no F8 systems. We want the SRT experienced checking your set up for your safety and the safety of the Kentucky Chapter. This will help expedite gear inspection.
Thank you, Norm Hall....Head Judge/Tech....Best of Skill

I know I am going to get flogged by the assistant to the chair for this one but I am unable to make it down. I thought I was good to go but got dates mixed up and have a wedding to go to on Saturday. Good luck to all and I will take my lashings like a man.

Weddings are an acceptable excuse for missing a TCC.

The Four Roses should be inspected by the assistant to the chair prior to the spirit touching the lips of the fabled "uncie norm". Think of my position as a taste tester, to make sure rich isn't doping the head judge.

Consider that a date Stephan !! Good lord, I think we saw each other more often when you lived in Charlotte....we need to fix this and fast !!!

i know right, more like dead last.

Whatever happened to the good ol days of talking smack on treebuzz. now everyone has to play all nice and talk sweet to each other. wtf! i want the good ole days back.

fights to the death, drunken holly ranting on some one...... more smack talk than five drunken homies shooting dice on the corner. what has happened to the buzz? have we really gone all PC?

A bit of news to relay. The party after the KTCC will probably NOT be at Chris' new house (long story), so it will be back at the Limbwalker shop. We probably will NOT allow people to stay overnight at the shop and will have to shut down the festivities at a reasonable hour (whatever that may be). We are working on an alternate option for people that expressed an interest in camping and tree boating. It's about 10 acres, mostly wooded, that is maybe a 30 minute drive from the park and our shop. Not as ideal as we'd like, but what is?

It's getting closer!!!

Can anyone direct me to a schedule of the competition? What time of day do things start happening and when do they end?

I'd be coming from out of town and could use some scheduling detail. Also a map or directions to the park and competition area would be helpful.

Thanks,

Rd
