Derrick, I wish the Chair would grow a set and answer the Srt question. I don't see it as a big deal, but I'm only the assistant to the chair.

Sign up deadline is like last week in September. Two weeks before October 15th. That sounds about right.

I heard some real talent is looking to climb in this comp. Even have a head to head footlocking going. Might have an ascent event on Friday. Maybe.

I got permission to go from the mrs. Only problem is, it's her birthday. So I'm taking my time in making my decision : ) finding out that srt is going to be allowed might have just finalized my decision. It was great lAst year and am sure it will only be better this year. Everyone should try to go!
 
oh hell, the Texas Gunslinger known as Abram is heading to town to challenge all to a footlock duel !!!! This is setting up to be a TON O' FUN !!!!
 
Even after reviewing Frax's FL practice vids, I am still IN.
And I'm not scared.
Oct 15th? I can learn this by then, no prob.

Is Blinky still gonna be the FL judge? Cuz he cheats and will most likely call people names. And he says I'll have to follow the rules or he'll DQ me... is that true? I figure as long as I get up there 40 feet and smack the bell, I'm good.

Rich H... is there any way to talk Toni into throwing her hat in the ring??? Just for fun...
 
You still hafta smack the bell faster'n I do. I can buy Blinky too. Easily! But I won't need to.

Unless I break my legs first. That'll slow me down a bit. Maybe.

What hotels are recommended for the comp? Are there any discounted rooms for competitors or is it a free for all and, most importantly... Where is the party at???
 
The hotel that Cory recommended last year may be the “best value for money” that I have ever used !
($49/single & $59/double per nite ……. Out the door, no extra tax, continental breakfast, ….)
It is a “non-profit” rehab facility, but has separate floors for “hotel quests”.
I will use it again this year.
“Countryboy” and family stayed there last year also.

Yep. I would recommend that hotel as well. It was clean a good price
And everyone was nice. Close to the park. More could you want?
 
That is the same hotel I'm recommending this year. The rates went up to $70-80 per night this year, but it's your best downtown bargain.
