This seems like a possible way to run the southern with natci. The Kentucky climbers only competing against ky climbers and out of staters only competing against outsiders. That way, the curve isnt thrown off by an outsider. Then you could hold two masters. You can effectively hold two separate comps within one infrastructure. The only problem I see is that a top southern climber then doesn't have a chance to compete with the national climbers. Anyway, I have found that, wherever stephan is to be found, you are sure to have a smooth, fun, and truly awesome event

The 2011 Kentucky Tree Climbing Championship was another huge success. Part of this success was due to the KTCC’s growing reputation as a tightly organized and run event that is focused on providing climbers with a positive experience at a TCC. A large part of our success in bringing out a large volume of spectators was facilitated by our partnering with several other local organizations to create more of a festival environment.

This year we had a record number of climbers (33!) enter in the KTCC, including three female competitors, two from Kentucky and one of which came all the way from Alberta, Canada. Kentucky climbers filled in only eleven of those spots (9 men and 2 women).

Cory Petry and Josie Spagnolo, both of Louisville, qualified to represent Kentucky at the 2012 International Tree Climbing Championship in Portland, Oregon.

We would like to offer a very special thanks to all of the sponsors that made the KTCC possible:
