You are citing extremist views whereas Sanders is a moderate. He espouses democratic socialism not pure socialism. Not all realities have to end up with a gun pointed at someone's head. We can learn from history make different choices than others made. Sanders has traction because he is speaking truth. Government is in the service of the 1% and the 99% are being misled/divided to allow that 1% to continue business as usual.

Sanders is speaking of the power behind the face of govt. Hillary and all but Trump are spokespeople for the holders of that power. Trump is nuts and I don't know his agenda. But I know he doesn't speak for the real power brokers because Bloomberg said he may run as independent if Trump wins.
Honestly I wonder if you are paid by someone to disseminate fear and confusion. You've brought cartoons and quips (propaganda) to this conversation and I just don't get it.

Wait a minute...I just noticed...you're from Saskatchewan! I got no beef with you. Run that socialist mess however you want. Line up behind everyone who has tried it before: Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Hugo Chavez, Castro, Pol, etc, etc, etc. See if you can buck the trend. See if you get different results. Just remember, there are over 100 million deaths attributed to the men on this list. Bernie holds several of them up as role models.
Everybody talks about fear like it's a bad thing. Fear saved my life just the other day. Because I have a fear of falling 50', I took one last look up the spar before cutting the next block. My climbline was still in its previous TIP. Gotta retrieve that before making the cut.
Am I afraid of Socialism?--not for myself. But, for my children and grandchildren--you bet! Do you ever look 10 years, 50 years into the future? Do you know anything about history? Know how the Roman Empire fell? Know how rare a government system, like we currently have in the US, is in the scope of world history? This is really simple stuff. Take a look at Socialists of the past. Count the bodies--Not the first year they took control. It's what's called: a progression. Same word we get Progressive from. Get it?

The best description of Socialism I've read is from "Atlas Shrugged" When Dagny and Hank go to Starnesville and get the story of what happened to the "20th Century Motor company".

This is funny. My wife just watched the first 3 minutes of this clip. She stopped me and said, "Are you listening to this."

She said, "You want to know why the poor got poorer? It's because of liberal Democrat policies (that far too often Republicans go along with). It's because of welfare, food stamps, WIC, etc. Somewhere along the line, they swallowed the lie that someone told them, that they could get something for nothing. Welfare only makes people poorer--and holds them in poverty."
I've said this before--you don't raise your kids giving them everything they want. If you do, you're a fool--and you will someday reap that harvest. I saw a sign just yesterday in the window of a shack on Tidewater Drive here in Norfolk called Tidewater Seafood. The sign reads 'No Accepting EBT'. I pointed it out to my worker and asked him this very question that I will pose to you:
I love seafood. But with our budget (wife and 3 kids) we can't afford it. Why are the people to whom government is turning over my tax money going to Tidewater Seafood and paying with their EBT card?
If you want the truth, I have become angry at the "underprivileged". But, when I stop and think about it, I realize that they deserve my patience. The reality is--it's mostly not their fault. Government is trapping them in a spiral of entitlement; and that same government is using my tax money to do it. And Bernie Sanders believes that they need more.
How is it that everybody understands that you shouldn't feed the bears in Yellowstone National Park because they will become dependent? But nobody cares as much about the poor? Or, do they? The fact is--they understand fully the "dependence factor." They are solidifying a voter base into perpetuity.

I have nothing nice to say about lazy people who think something or ..anything is owed to them .... Such a shame.. I hear were losing tradesmen with no one willing to replace , carpenters , plumbers,all sorts that require brains and some get your hands dirty type work really.. All these without work who don't really wanna work ,but could...nono nonono...b.s.
