Carritool advice...From my tree motion user's.

I recently started using transporters for the first time. Previously I had one Vault for my saw on one side and two small caritools for gear on the other side, which worked really well and I was pretty happy with it. Then I bought a two-pack (ain't dead) of transporters on a whim when they were...

    Show off them splices

I'm starting to get the hang of the easy stuff. Going to re-try a double braid soon. As for the 12 strand, none of the instructions mention that you need to keep the bury really tight as you taper and milk it under. I spiked right where the tail enters the bury before I did the tapering...

    Lanyard adjuster

So could the hipster behave well enough to work part time as a full blown mrt set up? I've got a long deda flip line that frequently gets put on my bridge to function as a second climbing system.

    Rope Wrench question

I think it's set up wrong in the picture regarding the rubber thingies. The tether comes with whipping twine to sieze on a carabiner, but in my experience it doesn't work that well. Also the total length of the tether and a perfect 0 is like 11 inches, so it's useful in that it's easy to put on...

    Anyone tried the Click Geckos?

Where do you buy the distel version, rather than notch?

    Anyone tried the Click Geckos?

Well I've done a few removals with the new straps and I'm happy with them. With the old style straps I was usually only getting them about 60 or 70% as tight as I wanted them, but if I really got sweaty and spent a lot of time cranking on the straps I could get them 90% tight enough at the cost...

    Another aerial friction rigging device?

I've been using aerial friction a little more lately, and it's more useful than I thought it would be. I'm definitely in the market for a device like this when it comes out, if I can be patient and not just buy a rigging wrench.

    Anyone tried the Click Geckos?

Based mostly on this thread I picked up a pair of velcro straps this weekend. (I was in Bellingham for some mountain biking, so I stopped by Wesspur to see it in person. The show room is closed due to covid but it was still fun to see in person and dig though the free ropes...) I've been using a...

    Rope Wrench - Hitch/Rope compendium.

The latest: Bifrost with 8mm Epicord Michocan. I also swapped out my hitch climber pulley for the rope wrench pulley, and a 10" tether for a 7.5" tether. The whole set up is very compact, doesn't flop around, and frickin whizzes up and down.

    Rope Wrench - Hitch/Rope compendium.

For those of you with more experience / bigger brains than me... If you're tying a michocan on a DMM hitch climber pulley, and if you're trying to make a compact system, do you think the stack height of the DMM pulley forces you to have longer legs on the prussik? Do you think that affects the...

Dynaglide green (I've heard it matters that you use green...) and Weaver bags. I always throw a 12 oz, with a 16 on the other end. I usually use a 200ft line but keep a spare 150 in my cube, plus an extra throw ball. I keep it all in one of those Eldrid cubes which I can't tell if I like or not...

Speed line came untied at the ground

I was recently working a young cottonwood in a backyard, growing over a newly built retaining wall. The tree was about 70', 18" dbh, and at the far edge of my comfort zone. I was speedlining everything but the wood, with the bottom of the speedline tied off to the skid steer. I zipped down 8...

I just got a splicing kit, now what?

I just received a Samson basic splicing kit for my birthday and I'm very excited about taking the dive into this weird little rabbit hole. There's a lot of interesting info on this forum, but I'm hoping some of you can share your thoughts on good places to start as a beginner, or a broad...

What do you use for a base anchor?

I've always just used a few trunk wraps with and AB and quickie to make a base anchor, but lately I've been accessing some taller, wider trees having moved out west and I don't want to give up 30ft of climb line on my anchor. I bought a short piece of rope to use as an anchor, and I'd love to...
