Today....

And I'm wondering what you're holding in your left hand.

It looks like some kind of metal pipe or possibly a vine bent into a large U.

I'm also curious about your climbing system. I looks like MRS with a pulley at the top that's connected to single rope that goes over a limb and down to a nearby tree.

I wish I had a tree 24" in diameter 100' up to play in.

I'm going to guess that is the tail of a fat flip line that he's in the process of whipping the slack out of. Nice to see you @rico

That’s sharp! There’s probably not many tree services with a machine shop in the shop, looks like you’re doing something right!
Thanks. To be fair, I also own a machine shop business. We have 3300 sq ft of machine shop and they are starting on an addition next week as we need more room. I figured this was kinda tree related since its for on of our tree trucks.

I'm actually going to keep both chippers. It's kind of funny being a 1.5 man business with two 12" chippers, but living on one island and most of my work being on another, having one on each island just makes my logistics so much easier. Plus, I like having backup tools.

So the Bandit does suck at shooting off to the side, which is what I do like.... 90% of the time. That is going to be a big annoyance, but almost everything else about it is so much better, it is something I can live with. I got the Bandit when I was recovering from my back injury, so it has taken me a LONG time to even get the 10 hours of break-in time before doing some filter changes (since it is on the island where I do less work but where I live). I finally hit that mark recently, so soon I'll move it to the main island of my work and it will become the primary chipper.
