to represent at itcc - around here the new rule is to "successfully complete all events". ask your chapter liason to the tcc.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's the rule in Illinois too. Why send any competitor (male or female) to the ITCC if they don't compete in all 5 prelim events? The Chapter would be wasting their money.

Roger et. al.

The way I have done it in the past, when we had a single female competitor, she competed with the guys in all events. I kept her score with the guys until the end. She ended up middle of the pack. So, I then computed her score using the few changes allowed for women competitors (at the time) and she moved up a couple of spaces. She still did not have enough to make it to the Masters (top 5) but damn she was good and close. Therefore if you wish, I can either set up two scoring programs (one for men; one for women) or keep everyone together. If you have enough women climbers, you can have them compete together, but be scored separately or everyone on even limbs. I will have to check the 2007 rules to see if there are still timing differences which can create scoring differences. I can not wait…. Not sure how I’m getting there, but I will be there.

As the Mama’s and the Papa’s said --- Thumb out to hitch-hike.

Hey Vince,
Let's go with just one program for scoring and then make adjustments in the end. You Sir are a super-hero. Your help and expertise is exactly what we need in order to keep this on track. I seriously can't thank you enough.

p.s. Where is Mo-rice? Are you going? And How about the weather?

Yeah, where is Mo-Rice? I am sure he is planning on attending this TCC. \

It's not like he always flakes out at the last minute like that one time when the New Wave Hookers Dance Unit (of which I am the leader) was supposed to throw down, three man style in swanky tyvek poison ivy suits and get hit on by many anonymous and available women, but instead of showing up and being the third dance unit member, he no-call-no-shows leaving two of us looking quite foolish and when my brother went down to do the dolphin on the dance floor, I was the only one "raising the roof" around him in an awkward fashion, and people looking on were like, "what are they supposed to be, some sort of two man dance unit?".... and I was all like, "no, we had three", but only two of us showed up and I was certain that if there were some reason, no matter how small, that John couldn't make it, he would call...even if the reason were that he worked outside in his yard and the sun was real hot, and it made him tired, too tired to pick up the phone and call his best friend and tell him that he was going to leave him and the other dance unit member high and freaking dry for no good reason.....

No. This time I am dead certain that he will be there. Right John?

Re: Kentucky.... a place in America!

Where oh where did my Jonny go...Where oh where can he be...

I am sure he will show up, because he is the 2008 nation wide Charlotte Arborist Association (the other CAA) TCC CHAIR. And he is going to be there to help -- because of all the people whom help us last year, and said they will be here again in 2008 to help. The man will be there to help and to show his support of the great competition called the TREE CLIMBING COMP.

Won't ya John.

ya shucks... I am just doing what I can to help those whom want out of their way to help us. So thank you back at you.

You being the chair and taking on all that responsibility is the true super-hero.

I just have to put new names down for the climbers and in fact some of those I don't have to change. I hope I have to change some of their scores... Anyhow, I can not wait for the day. What's the count down??? I have my homework in hand and my thumb out.

Find peace in every cut. And be happy

Double Crap!

Re: Kentucky.... a place in America!

OK.

So we all now know that Mo-Rice is officially shirking his obligations to help chairs of other TCCs, and almost certainly will be contacting many, many individuals to help with the CAA's 2008 TCC (held in the balmy month of April...18th to be exact)

But I digress.

So it looks like the Urban Legend, Altreeist, and yours truly will be traveling rental car style to the city of Louisville, Kentucky. I tried to get a flight on Air Kentucky, which as many of you know, hubs out of Louisville, but the fare was too steep. More info at http://www.thelifeaquatic.org/Zissou/script.html

So we are talking about leaving Charlotte Thursday evening, driving through the night maniac style, and showing up ready to administer multi-colored tape to whatever tree might be the throwball tree.

Rest assured, we will bring the pain. The pain that comes the next day when you have laughed or smiled too much. I am bringing my sweet blow up queen sized air mattress for the much vaunted shop accommodations, I might require some hefty blankets, something is telling me that it will get cold at night......

which brings me to ............
