Western culture prizes and nurtures things like science, art, education, ambition, beauty. The economic systems that have sprung from it gave us - and the world- everything you see. Light, flight, heat, medicine, food, technology. The list is endless. You ever bought an Iranian car? Ever been saved by a Russian medicine? Ever read by the light of a Turkish light bulb or surf the web on a Pakistani cell phone? Ever travel the world on a Moroccan jet? Would you send your kids off to school in Ethiopia, as they send theirs to school here?

Like I said before: the simplest way to measure cultural superiority is to measure how many want in vs how many want out. And I don’t see too many westerners (American or European) piling into boats or trains making desperate escapes to Cuba or Africa. It’s ALWAYS the other way around.

So why would the rest of the world routinely risk their lives and their children’s lives to emigrate to the west unless the place they were going was….. wait for it…. superior?

Your car may not be Iranian, but many of it's components were likely made in Vietnam, China, Thailand, etc. And most of the raw materials were also mined under slavelike conditions in Africa and Asia.

Your idea of "superiority" harkens back to colonial "might is right" times when the West took advantage of, beat down, or straight up stole from the rest of the world and many have yet to recover. You earned nothing and are only at the top because you stand on the piles of corpses and broken bodies you have left in your wake.

it looks like biden is whiffing 2024 pretty hard. 100,000 votes in the michigan primary for uncommitted, thats two-thirds of the margin he won the popular vote there by in 2020. i dont think he can survive that on election day. the executive board of ufcw 3000 in washington state just endorsed the uncommitted vote strategy in their upcoming primary too. thats 50,000 members

e; mar 4 2024 update, supreme court vacated the colorado ruling to keep trump off the ballot there so barring any significant events like someone on either side stepping down or having a heart attack i think trump has a better than even chance of winning again

seems pretty obvious.. love him or hate him, these charges are rediculous, espcially when compared to the war crimes and crimes against humanity of Bush Cheyney. Falsifying evidence that started a war killing 1 million people and costing 1.4 trillion dollars and institutionalizinf torture.... compared to accounting practices, used to secure a loan which has been paid off (thus no victim)... Keving O'leary has been quite outspoken saying every real estate developer regularly over estimates the value of his holdings when seeking loans and the banks due their own due diligence in extimating the vlaue of assets.. it's S.O.P... And now the NY governor is trying to reassure investors not to worry, this couldn't happen to you. It's only for Trump.. I don't like the guy, nor would I EVER vote for him, but I do like democracy, and this ain't it!
