You can only say that in relation to an imagined ideal. You can't say that in comparison to any other previously existing society. And you can't really compare it to any other existing one because it's greatness is so vast that it now encompasses the entire world in most regards.

But maybe it will get through to you at some point and you will appologize to our collective ancestors for their heroic efforts and show gratitude for their sacrifices and celebrate this miraculous achievement.

I would also like to personally thank all those who built this great nation on the backs of slaves, and those who did their very best to completely annihilate the prior occupants of this place we now call call home. And I salute all those prior generation who just reached out and grabbed that pussy. It was and is their gods given right to do so, after all. Way to go guys.

Hard to argue with this.
It would be silly to claim superiority of ethnicity or nationality. But the superiority of Western civilization and culture is unassailable. Absolutely beyond debate, in the same way that no one these days would debate whether slavery was a good thing.
To paraphrase former Prime Minister Tony Blair, the best gauge of the goodness of a nation is simply how many want in vs how many want out. While I don’t agree with Mr. Blair on everything, this is spot on. While the Left whinges endlessly about America and our values, they don’t really want out. Not even the celebs who promise to leave if a Repub is elected.
No one is saying we are perfect or even close. More accurate to say our system is the worst- except for all the others.
It's rather simplistic to conflate aggressive dominance with superiority.

As far as I know it was solely western civilization that objected to slavery as a universal principle and them made it illegal and beyond debate in much of the world.

What is a good description of slavery? Particularly in western civilization and the US.
Here in America that’s exactly what happened. Whites enslaved blacks. Historically slavery was not race based, but instead based on debt, crime, religion, and war, whereas our African slave trade was based on race.. Thus race was born out of racism. Ain’t western civilization the best!

Do you think slavery was exclusive to American whites? Hell, Africans had slaves. Native American tribes had slaves for centuries, even predating white slavery in North America. Later, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek and Seminoles actually enslaved Africans and deemed them inferior.
The Arab world is worse. Islam never banned slavery. From Wikipedia: “Slavery in Iran was abolished in 1929. In the Persian Gulf, Saudi Arabia and Yemen abolished it in 1962,[19] while Oman followed in 1970. Mauritania became the last state to abolish slavery, in 1981.”
“In the early 20th century, the authorities in Muslim states gradually outlawed and suppressed slavery, largely due to pressure exerted by Western nations such as Britain and France.” (Emphasis mine).
