Does anyone climb fo' fun anymore?

Re: Does anyone climb fo\' fun anymore?

I can, have and will. But I heard that you are an 'Outdoor Pro' and can do any thing from climb to kayak and everything between.

By the way, I think Blinky has a man crush on you, don't tell him I told you that. Blinky and I already have our problems.

Snap.

Blinky told you that in confidence. That's pretty messed up, man.

No wonder Blinky hates you.

I also just bought a white water kayak, I'm trying to get Blinky back into it...because I need some free lessons.

So you think telling John about my secret love interest is gonna get'em for you?

[/ QUOTE ] Hey be nice to the Twink, it's not his fault, I would blame it on Cubby Hole.

Just relax, John. This has very little to do with you. I think that Mo-rice and Blinky have some issues to work out between themselves.

It's best we step aside until the dust settles. Either way, it looks like you are going to be the winner's prize, so.....try not to take that in the wrong way. I don't think either of them wishes you harm, they just want to be close to you.

Re: Does anyone climb fo\' fun anymore?

Back about 15 years ago are so a group of us visited the Washington tree . At that time it was considered in the top ten of large trees in the world. Unfortunately the stroms a year back took the top off the tree down to about hundred feet. Just blew it off proably lighting strike? Wasn't their just read about in the paper.

The attached picture is from the top of the tree 247 feet up looking down into a cavity that went down 115 feet. We know this because we lowered a climber down into the hole and measured it. Amazing story considering that's where the tree broke apart, just about at the bottom of the cavity.

To get into this tree a climber went up a dead tree and transfered into a live larger tree which only got the climber up to the first limb about a 100 feet up. From their the climber crossed over to the big tree and climbed in on a large limb. Pretty awesome.

I remember the climb as if it were yesterday. I'll dig up some more shots.

Re: Does anyone climb fo\' fun anymore?

On another adventure many moons ago, a group took the challenge and went out and climbed several big trees averaging over 200 feet. A nice little forest to play and swing around in...

Trees are for climbing and then you die.... They just keep on living even after were dead.

After climbing a big tree your pretty wasted of energy...
