    Two SRT rope climbing

Well, I haven't actually started with two SRT ropes yet, I've done a number of SRT/ DRT 2 ropes climbs and the friction is not predictable (DRT). So I decided to get the gear needed for two SRT systems. I figured it would be more consistent and streamlined in a number of ways like consistent...

    Two SRT rope climbing

I just took the dive to start the process of climbing on 2 SRT ropes (two rope wrenches)most of the time. What made me think about it more was doing a couple large, wide spreading oaks that really kicked my butt quite honestly. I brought in a second DRT rope towards the end of the job and it...

    First chipper...decisions

We went with the Carlton's 1712 diesel. We don't know what to do with ourselves. I've been hauling brush for 7 years. The engine is basically tier 3, so I'm happy with that. The winch saves so much labor. I'll post pictures later Sent from my E6810 using Tapatalk

    First chipper...decisions

We are buying our first chipper and we are looking at Carlton's line of 12 inch models with a winch. The hard part right now is deciding on gas or diesel. Can anyone help with observations on modern Diesel's and their reliability in comparison to the cheaper gas option? It seems to be consensus...

    Big boy climbing gear

And the shoulders of those great people were tending Blake's and tautline hitches for decades. I know they suck but for someone who knows nothing should learn history at the very least. I used a Blake's hitch once and switched to a split tail vt system and it is good to have it in your "tool...

Looking for some 1/2 rigging line and "beat em up" pull line

Yeah, the dragon brings thousands of bikers every year. It's a pretty place to live and climb. I bet I get some views that most don't. It's a small town and if I'm climbing it's usually for second home owners, not locals....they just hire their cousin who has "experience". Sent from my E6782...

Don't worry. I will never climb on old lines. I replace stuff constantly. Hence the name of the thread Sent from my E6782 using Tapatalk
