    double rope split tail question

Yep. I used a foor ascender on ddrt for a while. After I got tired of body thrusting. Works good, you just have to pedal twice as far to get to the top.

    Customer Interactions with Quotes

I started trying to weed out the bottom feeders and tire kickers about 3 years ago. I started charging more and turning down jobs. I used to try to get every job I went to bid. Now I look for a reason to walk away. In the last 3 years I've made more and worked worked way less of the no profit...

    double rope split tail question

Good setup. The spliced eye shouldn't bother your hitch. Do you have a foot ascender?

Thoughts on Minimum Pricing for Small Jobs

I don't do anything for less than $100. Unless I'm already nextdoor working. If I have to drive to give the estimate I'll usually have at least 45 minutes in just the estimate. That's driving to and from plus the time the estimate takes. I can easily have an hour tied up in an estimate and...

damage to service drop, should I go ahead and pay the full amount or is there a way to reduce it?

I'd pay it just to not have to deal with the insurance company. I wouldn't drag it out or not pay. They can make things harder on you in the future if you give them trouble. Just think if a customer refused to pay you. They wouldn't be a top priority in the future if they needed your services.

I put the baby bump on mine and now it has more drag while ascending. Enough that I'm thinking of taking it off.

    New Line setter tool

Good idea. I always try to overcomplicate things.

    New Line setter tool

Good way to pull a rope without a spliced eye.

It will flatten your rope a little. I don't have a zigzag but a couple trips through a friction hitch will smooth it out. I would think the zig zag would perform as normal.

    New Line setter tool

I cut a 4 inch long piece of 1 inch dia schedule 40 pvc pipe left over from a water line and put it in the vise and used a flap disk in the side grinder and sanded the outside lightly until it slid into the yellow Jameson poles. Then peiced everything together and drilled the hole with a 21/64...

    Another aerial friction rigging device?

Sounds good so far. How's the haul back? Is it going to be almost zero as the Rig N Wrench or more like the Safebloc?

    Another aerial friction rigging device?

I would like to see a Safebloc that is double wide. That would help with the bend radius and add a little more friction. I spend a lot of time in the bucket so the extra weight isn't a problem. Especially on an Ultra sling. I wear a Safebloc completely out in just a few months but it fits my...

Looks like a great device. Getting the original rr on and off the line is easy enough for me but I recently bought the 4SRT bird flap for mine. I really like it but it sure makes it harder to get the top pin in and out. Nearly impossible with gloves on. Looks like the beak on the new one is...

    Road safety

I've had this exact trouble for 25 years but it's getting worse. I've had bicyclists pull up my caution tape blocking a sidewalk and go under it and ride right on through. The only thing that has worked 100% is to call a state trooper and have one at each end blocking the road. Luckily I have...

    Looking for AFB

Assuming you've researched why they're not made anymore, I have one I'm not using but wouldn't know what a fair price would be.
