Knee ascender attachment

Tree Austria pro. My knee ascender terminates to the Y of my suspenders, and the suspenders attach to the middle of my back pad, but held against the pad at the top.

I picked this up from someone else on this site, I cannot recall who.
Might've been me. I've been doing this for a long time with my Tree Motion harnesses. I was sending the bungee up through the left front D, up to the left side D, then over to the right side D.

Currently I'm putting a Kong accessory biner on the left front D and redirecting the bungee through the biner instead of through the D. A minor adjustment but I like it better keeping the bungee out of the front D.

Bungee route through side D's
In real use the anchor accessory biner is flat against the harness belt on the bottom of the right side D.

I'm probably the last person to give climbing advice, but here goes... Instead of/in addition to varying the attachment point, have you considered varying the length of the bungee? Sorry if I'm missing something or being pedantic, not my aim.

That's a good point. There's a sweet spot in the length of the bungee where you get enough stretch to fully extend your leg and stand up on the knee ascender without excessive resistance, and having a good strong pull so the knee ascender is immediately responsive and rises up quickly as you lift your foot on the knee ascender side. A longer bungee is generally better doing that than a shorter setup.

Therein lies the configuration problem, climber wants a long enough bungee to meet their requirements but where does it all go?

Has anybody dabbled in doubling up similar to the saka but in configurations similar to above? That gives you the extra stretch but not the length… spit balling here

I have that piece of the HAAS I dismantled for parts. I also use suspenders, so I may give that a shot, as I am only half pleased with the around the waist design

I’ve doubled up treemotion bungee using a fisherman’s bend to get more pull, I like it and it holds up fairly well. I’ve seen it used to go up and over the neck doubled for a comp set up (crazy tight like unable to stand up straight tight) I prefer for work/production to run it doubled to the metal ring on either side of the courant suspenders.

I use elastic cord, doubled and tied into pockets for adjustability.

I general pass it over my other shoulder and down to my gear loop the same side as my floating ascender.

Left knee, passed on the right side of my neck, to the left , rear gear loop.
