    Tagged Spider Leg Slings

I put in a Pfanner order during the "powerball" sale at the end of November. The Gladiator pants I wanted were not in stock, which I understand. What I don't get is why I could not have them back ordered and have them sent at the sale price when they did come in. Did get a nice Cordura Forest...

    High Topping - Cathedral Grove

That is awesome Reg. Long drop time from those heights. I had the pleasure of travelling through Catheral Grove last June on my way up to Port Alberni. Would have loved to have stopped the vehicle to spend some time marvelling at these giants.

    Toro SGR 13 Stump Grinder

That stump grinder, new on eBay with extra set of teeth is $1,749. http://www.ebay.com/itm/STUMP-GRINDER-NEW-EXTRA-SET-OF-CUTTERS-14HP-KOHLER-COMMAND-PRO-THE-YARD-PRO-/232109759097 So I wouldn't say you're getting a great deal. "Tree Experts" and "Tree Preservation" companies; misnamed and misleading.

Just curious if the soap box that you stand on is made of reclaimed wood? Do you use one of those emission producing chainsaws for your "tree care" or are you using a steel axe and buck saw, or perhaps a sharp stone? How do you get to your work? Walk? Point is... we all live in a glass house.

Guess I'm working on my birthday !!!

Happy birthday Devon. That was some storm. I heard Midland got hit hard. We didn't get much wind up here. Just lots of lightning and rain. Good thing too as I'm still cleaning up from a microburst we got a few weeks ago.

    Help with a question

Soil weighs 75-120 pounds per cubic foot Calculate the size of your root ball, multiple its cu/ft by 120 (to be on the safe side) I wouldn't bother figuring the weight of the wood as it will be less than the 120lbs/cu/ft you already factored in. As long as you've cut the stump close to the ground

    Branch falls, kill man.

My 2 cents. Toronto has a large canopy. A lot of trees and the money only goes so far. They are spending a crapload on removing all the dying ash. Weller, Davey, OLC and many others have been working hard on it for serval years now. Budgets in Toronto are tight and getting tighter. Police...

That ladder bridging looks reminiscent of the old corduroy the settlers once used. Great idea for spreading out the contact area.

Hands On Crane Rigging Class In Europe

I'd love to go Mark. But after Rick's crane course in Philly, my brain is kinda full. :) Seriously, though. If anyone is hesitating on taking a crane climbing course, jump in with both feet. It's definitely worth the investment.
