I've had both. Gen2 is tougher but still not as durable as a pair of pfanners

If you change your bridge to the top hole in the rigging plate it should help
Although I had two ergovations over 5 years and never had that feeling... Just cinch up the top adjuster straps between the rigging plate and your harness and it should help tip you forward

No but seriously, educating people aloft to not get their saws pinched goes a long way
Further, you could make it a policy to have the chainsaw attached while it's not in use but detach inuse or for particularly sketchy cuts
Well, not hitting personnel or property beneath you is good.
At the same time, if your saw gets pinched and shock loads the bucket that's also not good.
There's a happy middle ground somewhere in there with a 80lbs breaking strength lanyard

I personally don't like textile on textile at high loads.. amsteel and heat don't get along too well in my experience. Id prefer a high strength maillon like this
