If you are really just about to turn 18, you are in an incredibly envious position. All of the best climbing tools have only recently been invented by individuals that participate on this forum. I hope you have many years of safe, enjoyable climbing. Tim.
I can’t remember what tree guy shared the story, but he’d had a friend die because of getting a wood sliver in his hand, I think it was. It got infected, & his blood went septic. Antibiotics are probably a good move, especially if the wound seems swollen and possibly contaminated.
Great post, you beat me to it. I’ve got a nickel that says that @Mikeb has never heard of BPPV. Mike, if you have not heard of this, you need to treat this suggestion seriously and do the research on BPPV. There is a sidedness to the vertigo, so you have to figure out which side is affected...
@ccm2724979; Welcome to the TreeBuzz forum! I think you are going to like it here. You come across as a humble person who can take a mild ribbing, so I think you will fit in just fine around here.

@evo; Thanks for mentioning this, it’s the first time I’ve heard about the loss of Silky branded pole saws.
I would suspect that this is Sherrill driving a bargain with Silky in order to try to raise the status of their Notch brand. Silky probably felt it was in their own financial...

@evo; Thanks for posting the photo, & starting this thread. When I tried clicking on the links you provided in post #8 above, I got a notice from the forum that there was a problem. I think it said I did not have permission to view those pages. I’m guessing it’s related to a privacy setting...

You need to send a private message to @surveyor requesting information. He’s the inventor, and the only source for the purchase of new Compact Adjustable Bulldog Bones, to the best of my limited knowledge. I think he can customize the Bone to your liking, if I’m not mistaken.
Welcome to...
Hey, buddybusk! Welcome to the TreeBuzz forum, just in case I haven’t said that yet. I was wondering if you received your new Compact Adjustable Bulldog Bone yet, and if so, how well you like it so far?
It’s great to read your posts here so far. Another veteran climber added to the mix...

That’s the power and the glory of this forum. It’s an amazing repository of knowledge that just sits there, waiting for someone new to come along and discover it, and to renew the discussion.
@Mparko93; I think some folks use a Pinto pulley with their Rope Wrench. I think I saw Reg Coates...
