    Compact Bulldog Bone

It can be a little jerky with full weight SRT, but I think it’s manageable. DRT/MRS it descends ok, but ascending with it as delivered isn’t very good if it’s fully loaded. That’s where the modification comes in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Compact Bulldog Bone

And I'd say you nailed it plus some. I'll have to play with the Rope Wrench idea, I don't think I've tried that yet. Keep up the great work, can't wait to see what's next.

    Compact Bulldog Bone

The BOLA, in my opinion is more diverse than it was designed to be. I have had good luck with it single and double line with some modifications. I have done a lot of low and slow and am transitioning to higher work with it. Search for Daigentanoen on youtube and you will see where I got my...

    Lithium powered saws?

Look at the advances in RC helicopters with the introduction of brushless motors and lithium batteries. It's an incredible move forward from liquid fuel. It's coming, just a matter of time.

    Gun oil

@Woodwork ATF and Acetone 50/50 makes a great penetrating oil. Next time I set up this test, I'll run some ATF. This test is very repeatable, easy to replicate with new or different oils.

    Atlanta Tree Worker Killed

In my area spurs at a fire department would be very unusual. Working/training from ropes(for High Angle) is very common.

    Gun oil

I'm not sure where you infer the cutting oil aspect. This test was purely friction based. I am very impressed with it's ability to decrease friction, prevent galling. I have used it on numerous metal to metal contact points with great success. I did use it to lube my ARC Mausingfield PRS...

    Gun oil

I just want to share a test I just did on some oils that I have used on firearms as well as every other time I need to put a dab of oil on something. I heard about Modern Spartan Systems "accuracy oil" in a podcast and my first thought was the guy is just selling snake oil. The claims were so...

    Atlanta Tree Worker Killed

My perspective is that the hold up will be getting a rescue line set in the tree. The typical FD TRT isn't going to climb on spikes, but there is a good chance they will be proficient at ascending a rope, they just won't know how to get a rope set when they cannot go to the top first to rig...

    Atlanta Tree Worker Killed

It is sad that the TRT didn't have the skills to rescue him, but if you had any idea the things most rescue teams are trying to be proficient in, you might understand. The TRT on my department specializes in High/Low angle(cliffs, bridges, windmills, power transmission, antenna, etc), Confined...

    Best gear for liger modification?

I used Petzl rigging plates. I think 16 strand is a good choice. I also turned the leg straps so the buckles are inside like MonkeyBeaver, makes it much easier to don/doff.

    Homemade APTA

The PVC will fatigue and fail. You'd be ahead to replace the plastic parts.
