    We don't run our 23t with a jib, but we program the lmi like the jib is always stowed on the boom. Just to pad the all important safety factor mark mentioned. Remember it is a guessing game, it doesn't pay to push the limits.

    X2 on the extra tape on the blade. Thats what I always did in the comp. I keep mine on my left side handle forward. I also keep my buck strap on the left even though I am right handed. Seems less cluttered, cause I like just my chainsaw on the right. Also the weight of the handsaw and buck strap...

    2015 ITCC Masters

    Nice work guys! I helped trim out the live oak and set up the masters. Got to test run it also, fun climb. Not tall but really wide. Congrats to everybody, great comp.

    crane work- balancing vs standing

    levi, sometimes using spider legs on pick you want to stand up helps. If you want to stand something up sometimes a spider leg will keep it from rolling while the crane is standing it up. More important if you are using a snap cut to stand it up cause if its not balanced correctly it can roll...

    very nice, you are at true visionary. Were those arbor tires in the back ground? I heard they have extra wide groves so you can roll them across the yard and pick up the smaller sticks so you don't have to rake.

    I also love people who used to climb trees. Sales, management, etc.. Somehow they were better than anyone who is climbing currently. Its really to bad the best guys our industry has ever seen haven't climbed a tree in years...(not trying to put down guys who were actually badass. u know who u are:D)

    Like them or hate them, they are for sure a big part of tree work. You don't have to like them or run them every day, but you have to know how and when to use them.

    Speedline Anchor

    In the past I have tied a rope between 2 anchor points and thrown a prussic on it. Essentially it is a floating anchor anywhere between the 2 main points. Also ground anchors work in some situations. Cool stuff from steve:D

    4 to one bend ratio

    In my understanding the 4:1 bend ratio only really comes into play when you are running the rope through or over something.(block,biner,x ring) I think rescue man explained it pretty well. The smaller the bend radius the more pressure on the small section of rope that is running over that point...
