How do you stow and secure your handsaw for competition?

Most guys keeping handsaw on saddle? Are you doing anything to keep it stationary, ie no swinging? Thinking about bungee ing it some way, if I can figure one that doesn't limit movement

Check this thing out. Requires no modification I think, is super compact, and stretches my full reach from the waist. I think this is wha I've been looking for.

Buuuut, I also bought a Tsurugi so maybe this whole thread is a moot point! Either way thanks for all the tips and ideas. Now I have no excuse but to just practice. Easy peezy!

X2 on the extra tape on the blade. Thats what I always did in the comp. I keep mine on my left side handle forward. I also keep my buck strap on the left even though I am right handed. Seems less cluttered, cause I like just my chainsaw on the right. Also the weight of the handsaw and buck strap seems to help balance the weight of the chainsaw on the right side. Never really liked the leg scabbard. I know stuff is going to get caught on my saddle, don't want it to get snagged on my leg as well. But hey, whatever works for u. That strap seems like it might work perfect.:D

Thanks court. The extra tape seems like a sure thing, although I don't think I'll need it with the tsurugi. It snaps right into the scabbard pretty nicely. I'll give it a go, my goal this year is no DQs.
Hey court any word on rmtcc dates for this year? A little bird named Landon told me it's like 80 bucks airfare to your neck of the woods

Comp should be in the beginning of June, 3-4 something like that. It is at Colorado college in the springs. I will double check. The North American is going to be out here this year also. I think in sep? Let me know if u r coming out. U r welcome to stay at my place.
