New Product. Testers Sought

Thanks all. Glad you got the humor, or the irony.

There's lots of other non related products out there that'd serve our needs as tree workers....but often is the case that the conversion of them is not far enough away from their original design to transform them into a salable Arborist product. I did think seriously about this one, but decided to let it go.

Yes the umbrella does actually serve the purpose well, as shown in the video. We often work among long grass and blackberry etc....so a cube is not really sufficient. This is a better solution. It doesnt really catch the wind when its upside down either, just rolls a little, unlike a cube which blows over. Trust me, for the money you could do a lot worse than to have one under the seat of the truck.

Too funny... :risas:

Sell 'em quick... rumor has it that SherrillFee is working on a patio-umbrella sized version that comes in circus tent colors.

Whats wrong with our circus tent colors? Everyone has fun at the circus, they are trained professionals!! (also it would be black and yellow)

;)

very nice, you are at true visionary. Were those arbor tires in the back ground? I heard they have extra wide groves so you can roll them across the yard and pick up the smaller sticks so you don't have to rake.

Do you find tangles developing on the ribs of the umbrella? That umbrella seems a bit like the ribs are hidden more than the one I just pulled out of my closet but I can't quite see

Not all umberll....I mean arborellas are the same. The better ones do have covered ribs. But even with, its not a major stress....you just have to pull some line out and lay it back down for the throw.

I usually don't get British humor, though I did burst out laughing for a good moment on this one... Who knows you might have a future in comedy.. stranger things have happened.. thanks for the show. What helps make it funny is that it's just enough possibly a good idea to suck us in, especially with the handle clip to the bag...

This is the best! I really appreciate your humor Reg. I thought your 201t modification was perfect too. It doesn't affect the performance at all!
Anyway, great stuff all around from you Reg. Thank you.
Did somebody already say that if you used a crook handle umbrella it could double as a line retriever!

I have not been pleased with the umbrellas that I have found and I haven't found one that doesn't have the ribs exposed. What's the brand on that one or did you cover the ribs yourself? They are not exactly cheap So I want to get the right one.

I've noted the same thing. Right now i am keeping my throw line on the spools on treestuff, but the idea of flaking into an umbrella sounds faster. I might even be ok with the occasional unexplainable basketball sized birds nest that use to happen when I used a cube if it were coming out of an umbrella.

Also, *derail warning* when can we expect to see the rcw3001?
