and btw, I'm loving this saw for pruning! Like a few others have said, more of a replacement for the silky than anything else but in the long run this will save some elbow wear.
@macrocarpa - I got this saw a few weeks ago and went directly to the stihl bar/chain like your picture but it doesn't seem to be oiling right and chips get gummed up in the housing eventually causing the saw to struggle. Have you had issues with your setup?
check out an app called Joist. There's a few levels of options with it, but I think the free one would cover all of your needs. We use the pro version mainly so we can add pictures, but it's been working great for us for the past 2 years. It even syncs with quickbooks
I emailed them a year or so asking this very question/suggesting they make it and never head back. I'm on their email list now and every time I get an email from them, I have my fingers crossed hoping for good news.
I actually just gave in/up though and bought the makita 16" as well as their...
So I climb srt probably 75% and will go doubled rope when it makes sense, both have their place. I've never liked using BDB much for double rope because of all of the flop and while there are some tricks to address the flop, the system becomes a hindrance in itself as you want to move your tie...
I haven't been in the evo, but have used both treemotion and s. light extensively. I prefer the s. light over the regular treemotion...my biggest gripe with it was the leg straps not having buckles and the little bungees on the leg getting caught on a branch and snapping my leg.
I got the...
I'll be ordering some new t-shirts, love the quality arborwear offers, they have two models i'm interested, tech & transpiration. I can't find a reason for one over the other, both are priced the same, only difference I can see is that one is 85 polyester/15 cotton, the other is 100 polyester...
Akimbo for sale, I’m just too comfortable with my bull dog bone and this doesn’t get the use it deserves. Ican post pictures in a few days when back at the shop but you know what it is...as far as condition - a few little scuffs from bouncing around in gear bag but this has not been used much...
Anyone have a kong frog laying around they'd sell? I've got an idea I want to play around with and am not certain enough it will pan out to want to pay for a new one. Thanks!
Hey has anyone used the debris predator? Considering one but it seems expensive for what it is. Also, without having had either in my hand, it looks nearly identical to a fiberglass snow pusher thats about 1/3 the cost. Thanks for any insight!
Very lightly used T536LIXP. Bought new last September. Great saw but selling because it doesn't get used enough to justify keeping it. Includes the heavy duty fast charger and one battery. I will take and post pictures tomorrow.
Anyone tired something along the lines of this product?...Kind of confusing as there doesn't seem to be a ton of info out there on them, but it looks like you can add a neck band that allows a wireless connection to a 2 way radio...
