X-rigging rings

BTW the new 38x28 Xtra Large "beast" ring is going to be suggested to be sold for $45.99.

Tom, here is the car. Not a Volkswaggon, it was a Nissan.

I like it a lot Nick. Have been looking forward to getting the XRR Whoopie sling for some time and seeing how much I can do with it.

That was the first picture I have been able to post on the Buzz, I’ll post some pictures I had taken a few weeks ago of XRR sling use. There is nothing special about this tree job and certainly nothing special about how I use my XRR slings. I view my posting more as hopefully a prompt for others to post “ ok”, or “average” photos. If you post your photos I promise I will find something to learn from them and to help me in my work. It will be a contribution.

Finally, please don’t anyone take my photos of anything as “the way to do something”, there are far more accomplished people on this site to learn from I’m sure. Also I’m sure there are plenty of things that I do that are not “right”.

This little trailer used for storage was important to the Home Owner.

Here is a green XRR sling with two XRR loop slings to make it a termanal rigging point. Had the loop slings set up a little sloppy and I think it contributed to the ugly looking 'hang' of the rings. Also, I was glad I had taken pictures that day as it was only after the fact that I saw I was running my retrieval D-ring tighter than I want to.

I had gotten into the tree an hour and a half late that day, something which drives me to distraction. I had intended to practice a Targeted Vertical Speed Line on this non critical situation. When I got the limbs off the stem it was late enough that I just hammered down some firewood rounds and set a rope to pull.

Can someone who knows how to post a picture so it shows with the text (especially using a Mac) PM me?

I see in this thread that Bonner, Bixler, Tuttle, Tony, and Xman all are capable of this. Thanks.

You have to have the photo online somewhere. Stored in an email, photo server, website somewhere.

Then you type

Replace the ... with the URL (website address) of the photo. They are called embed tags.
is the close tag.

Easier than that!

1. Attach the picture just as you have.
2. Open your post and open the attachment.
3. Copy the URL
4. Now edit the post. Chose image from the instant UBB Code menu at the bottom. Paste the URL. Then position the whole code where you want it.

Nice Merle, got in the tree late and still managed some pics for us...cool

Interesting methods of embedding pics. I'm on a Mac too, and have always used imageshack.com

It's not too much of a PITA once you get started. Good luck.

this one I got here is a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5

a "desktop"

i've had it a year and a half now, just starting to get the hang of it, why do you ask Bonner?

BTW killer job on the XRR Whoopie - Love it

I have an old MacBook. I am saving for a new 'pro' I cant wait! I really wish I had a desktop. My wife might get to keep hers when she leaves her job, which would be incredible.
