Whiskey Whiskey Whiskey

Ever try the Quinta Ruban they put out? One of my favorites. I see you have quite a selection of Scotch whisky's. I'm glad you are seeing the light... even if you are an "O" stater. Merry Christmas.

Big fan of Quinta Ruban and Glenmorangie in general.

Merry Christmas to u too

Haven't had the Blood Oath but have enjoyed several kinds of Whistle Pig over the years. Not crazy a;out their price points however
They were both gifts. Funny story is I had friends over last Christmas Eve and opened the Blood Oath and didn't even know the price point. Was handing it out to whomever wanted a taste and my uncle said "That stuff is really expensive. You might want to put it away now.". He Google it and I was floored to see it was $650!

My daughter bought me this for my birthday. I've never actually tried scotch....View attachment 72214
Malt whisky is very different. That Glenlivet is a cask strength so it is going to be quite strong.

I would recommend starting with an unpeated and unsmoked Scotch Distillery such as Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, Glenmorangie, Balvenie, Dalwhinnie, and Macallan as the alternatives have been known to turn folks away from Scotch.

Some great Christmas "Adam" memories are of some of my old high school buddies coming down on this day to hang with me and some of my college buddies on this day. Since most folks are gone by now, we had free reign of some pretty quiet bars and my drink(s) for the holiday season were a Chivas on the rocks with a Great Lakes Christmas ale chaser.
We would then get up God-awful-hungover and head up North for Christmas the next day.

Damn good times.

That looks excellent, pretty smooth?
Original Maker’s is one of the few I’ve tried that I can enjoy neat.
As prices go up, I start feeling bad about adding vermouth or anything other than ice or a splash of water.

Just the usual for me tonight.

I rarely add anything to good whiskey/whisky but do keep around a few that I don't mind defacing in a Manhatten, old fashioned, mule, or Rob Roy.

This is better than the other Maker's cask strengths that I've had but I also prefer the 46 to the regular Maker's

Gifted some Nocino recently. I gathered the walnuts for him in early July. 3rd batch has doubled ingredients and was made with 151 instead of the usual 100 proof vodka. This stuff makes an amazing Manhattan, probably the best I've made at home.
