That is called civil disobedience at its finest.

When kids are being mass murdered at school, taking them out until it is addressed is reasonable - no fed funding until then

Specifically, I'm not sure because I dont make $174,000 to make law...it might be more at federal level. I dont even make that working in the tree industry - i can suggest and have input on tree regulations but glad there are safety sstandards in our industry to begin with.

I disagree any gun control is total call for removal of all arms.

I also disagree that gun control cant have a positive net effect because of the nuts out there.

Have countries that have implemented had an overall positive effect in homicides and rates by guns? Yes they have.

Lets take automobile, cars, and roads as a tool that we all have easy access too.

Do people still break laws and kill people with cars - absolutely.

But we need a license, vehicles must go through rigorous regulation and standards, must be insured, and are expensive - yet we get them, drive more miles, they are safer, and less deaths occur because they are heavily regulated.

The industry and people have always decried even law and regulation - the regulations continue to make roads safer as a positive net effect.

Did all cars get banned ever? NO - gradual laws were implemented.

I could show this with:

Food safety
Worplace safety
Children's toys and furniture
Medicine
Air quality
Water quality

Just because we can point to an example where these regulations have failed, or say "it's always been this way", doesn't mean things cant or wont change.

Until then, the zombies are coming.

I’ll admit, I didn’t seek out their Political Affliction prior to sharing, I just read the Damn Article.

I believe open discussion from both sides is a step in the right direction.

Why is an Idea only a good idea if it’s printed by a certain outlet?

If The Onion was the originator of that article, I’d still share it.

That’s the only step-by-step short term path forward I’ve seen that wasn’t somehow emotionally fueled, & I’ve been looking.

I even visited The NY Times.

Im ok with police on campus - we always have 1 or 2 in Sacramento and I worked with them. It generally made school safer.

I don't want rent a cops, stressed out and underpayed teachers, or unemployable vets though.

I know what an angry teacher who wishes they had a firearm might do :-p

The Local elementary school has electronic locks & a containment area at the main entrance.

I don’t believe the cost was very much, & it was incorporated into the building without a lot of changes. It seems effective.

I believe Metal Detectors are another viable tool.
