I have previously gotten wasps in the house in the middle of winter that are frozen in/on the firewood I bring inside, thaw, and then fly around, Frost last night and as I was stacking some wood today a wasp slowly crawled around the edge of a piece of wood I was gripping, right beside my finger.
Brushed it away. A little while later I glanced down to see a wasp latched in perfect stinging position on my forearm! Don't know if his stinger could get through the layers, but brushed it away before I found out.
T'is the season.
