Is it just me or does it seem like the turnaround time to get trucks, equipment back from the dealer or anyone for that matter has turned from 3 weeks about five years ago to now it takes 8 weeks to get something fixed. I am on my backup chipper and backup loader for a while now and i'm very close to having to find a place to rent from to keep things going.

Thankfully not, but customer service has nose-dived while prices soar. Not fully related as the wages haven't soared though... Backup machines ftw though, glad you have them!

It depends on the shop. We have some that we work with around here that are really good and usually turn things around very quickly, others, you had better plan on buying a replacement while you wait to get your machine back. A lot of it comes down to parts availability, we have a lift on a long-term rental contract right now, our operator made an Oopsie and damaged a bracket on the side of the boom. Machine was down over a month waiting for a part to be shipped from the manufacturer in North Carolina to Pennsylvania...
