Ok so I went to make an order tonight and whoa! The shipping has changed huge now to Canada! 53.00 minumum plus another 50.00 for taxes, brokerage etc.... I sent Like an email, hopefully this changes and changes fast back to the normal FedEx delivery. I make quite a few orders a month and this is going to be a huge setback ! So Luke and Bonner please change it back to the old way of shipping !!!

I just ordered the other day and it was only $34. There are multiple options for express shipping plus pay up front for brokerage/taxes or another option for standard shipping and you pay whatever the courier charges after delivery. Did you maybe miss the standard shipping option? I actually found this new system CHEAPER than what it has cost me in the past if I go with standard shipping.

EDIT: I'll add the one thing I was disappointed with was not being sent a tracking number under this new system.

I saw the standard shipping, it's still $50 something dollars but if it comes UPS you get whacked with brokerage fees and HST later also. I'll see what Luke says about going back to fed ex the way it always used to come. Did yours come fedex? I did the standard shipping up to step 3 but won't say if it comes ups or fedex, I'll see what Luke says tomorrow. Funny thing is your another 10-12 hrs east of me and that's cheaper shipping then I normally pay!

Everything I've ever ordered from TreeStuff has come FedEx except for a few times I've requested things just sent regular parcel. If they're switching to UPS I'm going to start using a package receiving service in Maine and making the cross border trip. I've been bent over by the clowns in brown before....never again.

I've been tempted to try this. Are the savings that good? How much longer do things take to arrive than having it sent direct to you? I think he only does a couple orders a month so depending on when you place your order you could be waiting a while.

My last order took a month. My order was around $700 and I paid $20 for shipping if memory serves correct. I was in no hurry for it so that is perfect for me. I just did another order and it's been about 3 weeks now and I haven't gotten shipping info yet. It will still be in route to Saskatchewan. I guess depending on where your located from him will determine duration. I live near Toronto, ontario.

UPS has tried to screw me before, I will never give them my business. I self cleared my package when I had no choice but to use them. Instead of paying $120 brokerage fees I just had to pay $45 for HST.

Wow, I'm glad I live in the same country as Treestuff. At most it has taken 3 days for me, some guys get it next day. But all that added cost and wait time is just painful. I'm sorry! You all can just send your orders to me...next time I see you I will make sure to hand it over. ;) I'll make sure it works too.

This is why I'm seriously considering a parcel receiving service. I could take advantage of the free shipping and it would be much faster. I'm only an hour from the border so the savings in shipping and brokerage fees would more than make up for the cost of gas.

Got a chance to stop in and visit everyone at Treestuff today. I was about 3 hours south and figured I won't be any closer than this, lol. What great time, took a tour, tried out some new stuff they are working on. Forgive me because I forget the name of the new Rope Saddle that is being developed and is on their video site, but man is that thing nice. I definitely want one when they release that thing. They hooked me up with some free stuff and gave me a couple quarters to play the Claw game. I pulled a nice split tail out of there. The guy after me pulled a nice Silky saw out, I must have loosened it up for him, lol.

I want say thanks to everyone at Treestuff and especially Alan for giving me the tour, and Luke for answering the phones while I borrowed Alan. Thanks again.

That's the matt cornell you are talking about and I am checking the site daily for it's release.

Keep an eye on treebay for at least one of my saddles when the cornell drops.

Yes it was the Matt Cornell saddle. Very comfortable and great range of motion. Super smooth when sliding about, I was going from right to left touching the ground with great control and very little effort.

I want one in the worst way.....with 2 pretzl open rings and an adjustable bridge (maybe the pretzl one, maybe use my roll'n'lock). Like I said, checking their site daily. Been trying to get someone there to give me an ETA, but to no avail.

"Look, Alan! It's fuckin' Elvis! Across the street, there... with the bottle of Jim Beam and two dozen donuts!"
*stuffs harness in baggy pants*
"Well, gotta run! Thanks for the tour!"

Yoyoman, it is $ CAD 988.00 and then there will be a 13% HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) on top of that. A year ago the Canadian dollar was at parity or even fractional worth more than the $US and the price would have been the same. So the exchange rate is in a sense irrelevant and we are paying 1100.00 for something that is 549.00 45 minutes (in my case) away despite NAFTA AND THE WTO.
