No, but I will be cutting up a Boxelder tomorrow. The tree fell over during a storm after I quoted to prune it. Funny thing was, I told the lady that Boxelders are brittle.

Hint: The shape is pretty typical for the species, however the height might be taller than usual.

A. palmatum not fully leafed out? The silhouette makes it tough... Leaves look either whorled or only partially out, or both.

Well, anyways good guess. The home owner said that there was another trunk to the tree that fell into the pasture. So it was a pretty big cherry.

Maybe you can find a good one on your trip?

Wow, I posted the common name for Salix discolor, and apparently one of the mods finds it abhorrent. The word refers to the fuzzy catkins, nothing more. Jeez, the PC police are out!
