I should mention that canker worms did a number on the Oak, so usually they have more leaves.

No to both of those.

I am not very familiar with this particular tree, however I have seen some rather large ones out West.

But since you were talking bowls on the mulberry thread, and we were just talking maple, here's a red maple log from a tree I took down recently. It had so much figure I called my bowl guy. The next pic is the rough cut bowl.
