If you could only have 3 saws..... AND THE REMAINDER OF YOUR ARSENAL

Am I the only one to think 2001 wasn’t long ago, then realize it was 22 years ago?
Nope... not at all.. Cruising around with my old boss in his dump/kboom f80, I asked what year the truck was. "'76 or '78 if I remember right"... "Well shit, this thing has 3-5 years on me" ..... He looks over at me slightly confused and then his facial expression shifts like a light switch "Awww, fuuuuuck" shakes his head and looks back at the road and the rest of the ride was pretty quiet.

Another time, we left some equipment on the job and were returning the next morning. He picked up on some long story he was telling me as we passed our turn, just plugging along the highway. He scolded me the day before for interrupting him, so I kept my mouth shut. About 5 miles down the road he finishes the story,
I finally ask "Wasn't that our turn aways back?"
"Oh, shit!, why didn't you say anything!"
"Paid by the hour, boss"
"Awww sheeeet, fuuuuck" a stern glare...
"That and you asked me not to interrupt, yesterday"
He just erupted into hysterical laughter...

I have my 'a-team' saws in t he truck at all times, and my 'b-team' saws in storage. That way I've always got a great collection on every job I go to and ready for anything, since jobs often change as we all know. As well as backups at home if something needs to go in for repairs. It is a bit of a tetris to fit everything in, but somehow I keep finding space to cram more and more saws in that truck as I get more of them...

I missed a lot in my 2 wk absence. So much posting to catch up on.

First, I guess this thread should have been titled: "What's in your arsenal?"
That's what I said to a good friend of mine in the mid 90s. "When I'm done, I'll have an arsenal of saws."

@islandarb why are the Stihls next to the shitter and the Hooskies are wearing diapers? And, the photo bomb pic of the saddles? ..... hard derailment. Old house with 3 shitters, huh. I think I may be able to beat that. Ima in a 1850 4500 sq fter with 4 bths. TBO, one is only roughed in. Your welcome to SWING in any time your passing through.

@TreeCo with, "I couldn't help myself"...... ABSOLUTELY on par. I love it.

@rico with the new top handled Hooskie. I didn't know I wanted another top handle. Now I' got a chubby for it.

Anyways, There's more I've missed to comment on but, this is what my pea brained memory holds at this time.... after reading 3pgs of absence.

Great posts fellas ..... CARRY ON!!!

I've had an idea of a "chase truck'' that basically carries all the gear. Mind sharing a couple more pics of this rig?

Being in a rural area, I only use the chip trucks maybe 10% of the time, so the service truck either by itself or towing the chipper to broadcast or shoot piles goes to every job and has an absurd amount of gear on it.

I built the box myself, organized to keep all my climbing gear in the cab, rigging gear on one side, saws on the other side and a main compartment for large items and dirty gear at the end of the job to be cleaned back at the shop. I actually chipped into it and had a pretty functional chip unloading system before buying my first chip truck.

It's about 3 years overdue for a new paint job, but I can share some other photos in a bit.
