God Bless Freedom Warriors

You once again try and divert from the simple fact that your statement concerning N95’s and covid droplet size was pure ignorance. Nice try though.
Im not trying to divert anything, but rather to get back to the meat and potatoes of the original post. I don't trust your little fact checking source, sorry. I'm not the only one who sees through the mask bullshit. There are hours and hours of content on the web that provide very compelling alternative views, but that would fall under your quickly assigned category of conspiracy theory, so don't bother looking for it. Just keep gobbling up the easily integrated material the MSM continues to sell.

Somewhere amongst the nowheresville of this thread there’s an interesting debate to be had about personal freedom versus the good of fellow mankind. And no way in hell I’m going to try to have that debate with a bunch of strangers on the internet :)

I have to admit, Brady, I’m understanding more now where the truckers are coming from. I still despise them… but I do think it’s important to keep the government’s reach to a minimum. Very important.

Thank you for your comment. I wonder if you know my brother Beryl. He used to do tree work at Warren Wilson college in Asheville. He now lives in Black Mountain with his fiancee. Beautiful part of the country down that way. I am curious...why do you despise the truckers? And if you don't want to elaborate to a stranger on the internet, I respect your choice :)

I don’t know Beryl.. small world around here tho, I’m sure I know someone who knows them.

I despise the truckers because they are causing logistical problems for industry and the general population. I resent that their protest has been allowed to be sustained as long as it has. I personally think the right thing to do, true cooperation, would be to get the jab. We make sacrifices for the greater good. We would have potentially avoided some of the worst variants, plus the ones to come, by reducing the potential carriers of covid. Perhaps have ended the pandemic instead of having it drag on for effin ever. Bc if the entire population made the ‘personal choice’ to never mask and never jab, what kind of terrible scenario would we be in now? That’s why I despise the truckers. I think they are selfish cowards who are afraid of a shot and making a stand because they are sick of the pandemic. And we all are. No one wants to wear a mask, get another stupid shot.

You really should. Instead of your favorite netflix show, take a little time out of your night to learn something.
LOL

I sure have spent time learning and reading.

What I'm asking Brady to do is sorta give me his Cliff Notes version of the rights that Canadians may, or may not, have compared to what we expect in the US

Brady...take a few minutes to help me understand how US and Canadian rights are the same.

It's easy to drop into a discussion, make a statement and ignore any explanations that are asked. I've waded through too many long video explanations to gain five minutes worth of knowledge.

I wonder...are the people who so loudly support the Canadian trucker's issues just as loud with support for BLM issues?

Separating violence and property damage out of the discussion.

Both groups seem to have similar gripes about how their issues are being addressed. Their issues aren't that much different from what I read.

I couldn't disagree more. BLM does nothing to help the black community. Candace Owens (I believe it was) traced the funds, and they go directly to the Democratic party. IE a bunch of white privileged liberal elites. And why would you want to separate the violence and property damage? Is not the way in which people choose to conduct themselves during a protest a huge representation of their character? Violence and property damage are the results of people's actions. Doesn't the way we act in society matter?
Black People who think BLM is a joke: Thomas Sowell, Larry Elder, Bob Woodson, Candace Owens, Shelby Steele, the new rep in Naples FL Byron Donalds...just to name a few. That was off the top of my head, I'm sure there are more.

I do remember the general gist of Peckfords sentiment in regards to the government mandates and regulations due to covid. He thinks it's bullshit, although he put it a bit more eloquently than that. He didn't do any comparing of Canada and the US, if I recall correctly, he just kept it about the Canadian charter of rights. I guess his overall gripe was that he believes the threat of covid no longer justifies the infringement on the Canadian people's freedoms. He among others are preparing a lawsuit against the federal government in Canada. I believe it has to do with the government limiting or impinging on freedom of association, freedom of mobility, religion, etc. But you really should watch it. You may think someone's cliff notes version of an interview (or anything for that matter) is good enough, but sometimes the things you learn are wrapped up in the little nuances you get from listening to a discussion. And this man (both of them for that matter) is a serious person, and not to be taken lightly, or easily dismissed.

Brady...what I'masking is: Do Canadians have the SAME protections of their rights that US has from our Bill of Rights.

Different issue...I hear a real mish mash coming from all over, both sides of so many issues, about freedom and rights. I've grown up hearing all of the stoopid yammering about freedom and rights in regard to seatbelts...to give only one example. I'm glad my folks gave up some 'freedom' and paid to have seatbelts installed in our new car in 1960.

Seeing as you are the only one to utter the words “conspiracy theory” during this entire thread I would like to offer a little sincere advice from a grumpy old man.. You would be well served to stop speaking with a forked tongue, and instead work on speaking in a more factual and honest fashion. For Realz!

the trucker convoy has resulted in far more economic damage than all the BLM protests combined. not that I disagree with the cause of dismantling borders. Have at it, im all for tearing down walls. In terms of level of chaos. blocking international borders for a week > breaking out the window of a liquor store.

Not a peaceful protest, and way more collateral damage.

And, Just like not all black people believe in BLM, not all truckers are down with the convoy.

An international court made declarations concerning the implementation of medical experimentation. The directives are known as "The Nuremberg Code"
–“Permissible Medical Experiments.” Trials of War Criminals before the Nuremberg Military Tribunals under Control Council Law No. 10. Nuremberg October 1946 – April 1949, Washington. U.S. Government Printing Office (n.d.), vol. 2., pp. 181-182.

  1. The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, over-reaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion, and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision. This latter element requires that before the acceptance of an affirmative decision by the experimental subject there should be made known to him the nature, duration, and purpose of the experiment; the method and means by which it is to be conducted; all inconveniences and hazards reasonably to be expected; and the effects upon his health or person which may possibly come from his participation in the experiment. "

There is a campaign to inject a new technology, not a vaccine, it has been acknowledged as a "gene therapy" to alter the bodies response to a specific microscopic particle. This technology has never passed a safety test, yet is being allowed under an emergency use authorization.
The State of Emergency does not prove its safety. The number of individuals having heart problems in the wake of the introductions of these shots can not be ignored. The VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Reaction Reporting System) is replete with reactions, they are available to read.

As an "Essential Worker" I have been exposed to Covid many times and successfully fought it off each time. I have also examined and followed healthy diet and lifestyle practices, pay attention to my body and incorporate immune boosting herbs and remedies at the first signs of throat or respiratory complaints.

Our mainstream is having conversations around Health that include no acknowledgement of overall health: including fresh air, sunlight and exercise. The pursuit of these things was actually curtailed, in some instances, through the implementation of mandatory masks, staying indoors, and closing gyms.

You may consider me a fool, but I don't need to read scientific studies to know that healthy diet and exercise are part of fighting off illness. I eat raw garlic. Who is superstitious? The man who eats the remedies that spring forth from creation? Or the one who brews a chemical concoction and believes it will only work if it flows through everyone's veins?

What a selfish and out dated concept. ;)

You sure were quick to pull the old "few bad apples" defense for a group of folks (truckers) who have had to endure 1-2 yrs of mask and vaccine mandates. Clearly you are unwilling to afford the same courtesy to a group of folks who, along with their ancestors, have had to endure 400 yrs of systemic and institutionalized racism, terror, and abuse...

Your description of BLM (follow the money & violence) fits Trump and the events of January 6th to a tee. Would love to hear your thought on the matter, as the events leading up to Jan 6th, the day of Jan 6th, and it’s aftermath are very relevant to this discussion on "freedom”.

What a stimulating conversation.. forgive me, I'm new here. I'm with Brady though.

We live in a world in which truth is more often than not buried under layers of dirty money. I'd rather labor and dig to get at the "root" of the matter than mindlessly consume the narrative and "science" our society is provided by the corporate funded propaganda delivery outlets we call media. I stand for truth, freedom and work ethic- and I do believe that we are on the precipice of these things becoming distant memory if we don't all get our heads out of our collective butts real soon.

With very little research one can find that some of the organizers of this so-called freedom convoy have clear ties to QAnon, extremist groups, stop the steal, and January 6th. There is also the fact that a majority of their funding is coming from foreign sources. And despite what Brady, our forked tongued friend is telling us, a majority of Canadians Do Not support their movement.

The misinformation about masks being useless and the vaccine being dangerous are started and spread by China and Russia. They want America and the west to be weak. To have a sickly population that can't fight back. All they have to say is, "they're taking your freedom", and they wind up with truckers crippling supply routes while getting called freedom warriors. They didn't need to blow up a railroad depot or destroy a shipyard. They just need to manipulate the self righteous with a YouTube video set to emotional music and a couple Facebook posts.
