To make all of America a business, like Exxonmobile and United airlines. Wasn't enough they had our purchasing power, they want all the public funds too. Apparently by force.
No, the debate isn't going to happen...it already did.
 
The founders of this nation were absolutely brilliant men who understood that a democracy never works in the long term and warned against the dangers thereof. Today, most Americans have no understanding of history, government and the way our republic was designed or our Constitution. I find it amazing how most politicians who swear to uphold the Constitution break that promise as soon as they can get their hand off the Bible.

I agree cutting funding to PBS is more symbolic than necessary. It is a miniscule fraction of the budget. And I enjoy many of their programs (Nature, Nova, BBC's Luther). That said, it does lean heavily left and has for decades. I suppose that's to be expected- don't bite the hand that feeds you.
