How bout this for redistricting: instead of these gerrymandered puzzle pieces, divide the state up into geometric even grids of squares. Population dynamics be damned. Represent your square assholes. And show up to work for once to represent your constituents.

That's pretty much the blueprint. Getting back to a functional democracy, there is also the matter of faith-based legislation such as the gospels in public education, loss of the sciences, arts, and critical learning.
Then a health care program not unlike the EU's quorum.

Only problem with that is population densities - for a couple of years in CA we have a non-elected commission draw the grids which has worked well. Takes it out of the hands of the elected grab for power.

As long as its non elected.
But look at your urban districts? Look like a puzzle drawn by Satan?

Yep - It is definitely some sort of whimsical voodoo.

Funny back story - republicans couldn't get the districts they wanted in CA a handful of years ago because of demographic changes, so they put the non elected commissioners plan together and on the ballot in the hopes to gain seats.

In the end, the plan screwed them and they lost more even more seats in the newly drawn districts.

Then they would just fight over who gets to draw the squares and where they start and end.

I get that, but why a problem with just "corporate" money? Why, for example, would Planned Parenthood or the NRA be any better? It seems like most people who want "corporate" money out of politics really just want influence out of politics which is a fine, if unrealistic goal. It'd be nice if we could just elect better people who wouldn't sell their souls for s little $.

Then just grids with even square miles. Work with borders of towns, villages, cities, neighborhoods etc. Would create diverse districts.

Would have to ne better than the shit show we have now.

The right makes many mistakes.

My state offers an accurate study in their failures. Oklahoma anything is posted online for all, starting with where we rate on any issues. There are 33 other rightwing dominated state governments, also worth checking out.

I can legally kill, dump used oil into lakes and streams, burn used tires and pay no taxes. Marry a 14 year old, impregnate her, toss her out and she can't abort. My kids no longer test for achievement, attend 4 day school weeks, and find their own way to classes because my district has no buses, drivers, or custodians to clean the vomit or fix the toilets.

I can build a 100,000 chicken or hog feeding barn and not have to treat OR manage it's waste or runoff. I will be taxed for wind and solar, but not fuel oil or coal-fired generation of my energy.

150 state troopers are being furloughed, all the rest only allowed 100 miles patrolcar use a day. Fostercare finished, no Medicaid from feds or child care subsidies, the ten commandments have 10 bills to force it down the throats of all of us while 20% of teachers have left the state. They hire non-certified replacements to make-up the dwindling left behinds.

Change. Thru ballots or bullets, it's going to and last this time.

Outlaw the right forever.

And the new head of the EPA comes from OK I believe. Awesome.

I grew up in the Rust Belt and can attest to degraded land and pollution but also have to say it's gotten significantly better since I was a kid. The Cleveland skyline was usually not visible due to smog. Burn on Crooked River.

Are we now going to take a step back? Perhaps not. Coal isnt going to make a huge comeback due to transitions to natural gas but we shall see.

Yes. Scott Pruitt is from here.

He's invested heavy in both the Keystone and Dakota Access pipelines.

He's actively closing the EPA.

Also appears to have logged an impressive search history on internet sweeps for young nubile teen naked pictures and meet-up chat rooms for minors.
Figures.

"Outlaw the right forever"? LOL

LEFTISTS killed tens of millions in the last century alone. Not to mention the millions of families and nations ruined because of it. You should check your zealotry. This talk of " ballots or bullets" is ridiculous and betrays your inability to persuade your fellow citizens of the superiority of your positions.

BTW: do you think what your side is feeling now is unique? Has it seriously not occurred to you that half the country seethed under Obama for 8 years? Ebb and flow. But it never occurred to me to threaten anyone with bullets. Good grief.

Just a small side note; if leftists had their way, you would have no bullets. If you are a leftist, you would destroy them and your firearms, in a peaceful and environmentally friendly way of course.

After the campaign of hate and fear, only trashing what was and offering no change, only obstruction and loud mouthed denigration of elected policies and individuals? To get to this point?

No.

Yeah. The govt is gonna go door to door collecting guns and ammo. Stock up now.

"Leftists" don't need to twist anything the right says. Ver batim by their own words and actions they twisted reality, our democracy, the planet, therefore any hope of an issued debate.

The EPA Administrator, without proper compass bearings, will run aground. The achievement will be in discrediting the science that drives its own regulating hand, to show that there are alternative facts after all. See climate change is happening, but not by us! But isn't that the deeper strategy all along? Dismantling the institutional state, just getting rid of all the 'red tape and regulations'. I think thats what it means to Make America Great Again (MAGA)
