DON'T EVEN TRY IT!

Your age is showing.. I believe John Ward's number was 0003

Were you in the tree biz in 1992?

I started my biz in 1987. I was 30. I did notice that there are over a thousand numbers between the two of us. I attended all of the Penn/Del meets back then.

I wonder how many GOOD tree men read all the hateful and aggressive bullying and just split. Good to know that God loves as all anyway!

OwScott's insightful post seems appropriate here, so I will quote it for those that missed it-

"Double talk and smoke and mirrors, not surprising. Its the new society we live in where people who call out BS become the bad guy and the perpetrator becomes the victim."

Ya for 92, but I wasn't going to the local chapter meetings back then. I won the PD west chapter aerial rescue in 2006 and spoke at the international ISA symposium in 2004 in Pittsburg. I thought I met you there and just couldn't remember you by your online handle at the time. Was Pete Thomas winning the comps back then? By the time I started it was Jim Roach?

Yes, Pete Thomas. I had forgotten the name. We've met several time Daniel. I remember you speaking at a seminar. You presented tools and techniques that had been in widespread used for in the trade for decades, but you likely didn't know it. The CA test was a cakewalk, I was the first CA in my county.

Sorry bro,
my mind isn't good with names... Tom Dunlap gave me some praise for the presentation. The thing I remember most is the guy that came before me taking 30 minutes to talk about a tree that had killed a climber when the foreman decided to move the ground anchor for the lowering device to a neighboring tree, and the shock load broke out the top of the tree and killed the climber. IMO all of that 30 minutes could have been summed up in one sentence. DON'T SIDE LOAD YOUR TREES...

I've taken to using a mid-level redirect on most serious rigging projects... that way it doesn't matter where the LD is placed. For us, porta-wrap is usually on the back of the bucket truck

I see Pete from time to time and like him a lot. He's stayed small and still climbs. We have very similar business models.. He lives int he neighborhood where we shot the vid of the big tulip that we stood up and you can actually hear his voice in the video. Apparently he modified some super sailboat winch that has a lot more lifting power than the GRCS. I had lost my handle to the GRCS and used his. It was fun to talk about the tree and converse about the pros and cons of all the options with him

I haven't made any changes to that website in years, but its probably a good idea as I went way down in the organic seo rankings lately. I didn't care much because we have plenty of work with the EAB killing all the ash trees. That said, I'd put my credentials up against yours anytime.
The first contestant is our Credential Wars is none other than Daniel Murphy, the man who was recently busted for lying about his credentials. Lets welcome him to the cage and give him a big round of applause folks...

Here's one for you @rico and @Tony

the likes of which has never been seen before or after folks.

Here is a large dead ash top triggered with a push of the hands.

The world as we know it is about to end the coronavirus coming to a person near you!

Truly next level shit Daniel, but I do find it odd that with nothing but daylight a little to the left you put your top right into that nearby tree, and in doing so your top came painfully close to getting hung up.. Judging by the strange way that top came off I would guess some seriously fucked up cutting was to blame.

You ever seen a climber get a good size top hung up, and then have the top pushback causing the butt to roll over and sit in their lap? Not recommended......

that's funny too... you've got talent! I'd suggest working on a standup routine for tree guys!
Shoot, tree guys do stand up all the time, usually standing up their bosses or parole officers though, from what I see on the Facebook! This world needs a few more good jokes in it, way too much crazy going on anymore.

A drunk logger walks into a bar and says -"Im so thirsty I could lick the sweat off a bulls balls... @JeffGu who just happened to be sitting in the next barstool promptly stood up and said- "moo moo buckaroo"....

Please don't forget to tip the bartender and your waitress, and if you do have to drink and drive, for god sakes dont forget your keys.....

There is no one that can certify me! Whoever writes those certification tests doesn't know much about how to use a chainsaw or prune a tree. The American standards are 10 years behind the European standards for pruning. What can these people teach me about falling trees or rigging trees or pruning? If they can teach you something, then you have A LOT to learn.

I jumped through their hoops twice. CA PD-1643 Just never bothered to change the website, when my certification lapsed. I wouldn't mind getting re-certified, but when they raised their prices I just wasn't interested. BUT HEY at least we know you guys are doing homework on me!

More gaslighting , deflection and playing the victim.

Straight silly. With all the time you spend making and posting videos you werent bothered to change your web site so you werent faslely advertising or committing logo misuse. For someone who is stacking as much cash as you, price of certification shouldnt be an issue.

Forget EVERYTHING you think you know, because you don't know jack shit... The dawn of a new day has brought us to the brink of a new paradigm in tree felling and fart smelling-

Its an amazing time to be Alive!!!!
