Long Buzz thread but yes there are test results buried in here somewhere, so far no pull-test has failed any of my "2nd generation" sewn eyes, cordage always fails first well away from the eye. By second-generation I mean eyes that are "pre-compressed" before sewing. The first eyes I sewed in 10mm hitch cord with 50lb test waxed polyester thread failed in the 4200-4500 lb range (some variation across multiple tests). Could be a "false variable" as my overall sewing technique has improved quite a bit, balancing the tension on each stitch better, burying the lock stitch more consistently, etc. I think pre-compression is likely a contributing factor to greater strength.Super nice stitching !! I'm just getting into it with simple stuff like a saw lanyard and hitchcords.
That job looks really good , can't wait to see the test results..
