A 30' with just a foot ascender and a 26" static tether on escalator.

Truly !So much to consider. Like trimming that bone down ,not leaving as much material for heat dissipation. Think it could be an issue during aggressive descents?

I don't think the material can get any hotter descending than when I was cutting it. The spine is the only place i felt a change in temp. I cut maybe an inch not even probably. I can see that something to consider if it were the spine or chain links, but the arms?? Fahhhgehhhdddaahhboutit

not really sure what that means... I think that pauls idea of flipping the bottom arms will cause more heat than the arms should take on descents like that.

It's a snub nose, did you file the hammer down too?The bone was rippin and tearin ish up today! The 5/8 bollard was too much grip on my escalator.

Hey guys! Ive been following this thread for a while trying to learn all I can. Now that I have a BDB coming from Gordon i'm trying to sort through what I really need to change up or incorporate in the set up for it to function the best. Oceans, Tyler, Mac, Gordon, give me your quick 2 cents on what to do and not do from the get go. I will be using this by itself sometimes and in DRT with the wrench on the other rope others. I think I got all the info I need already but thought id throw it out there. Thanks in advance guys! -BEN
