one thing to mention about the cbdb, is you should keep it clean and loose. I think odorless mineral spirits is the best with an old toothbrush. If the upper chip plate thing gets stuck with debris, the whole device gets terrible. just keep it clean obviously like any.

I thought I'd need to, but have never cleaned mine. Have an OG and a new elongated and work with pine/spruce, it just works.?.

I have had several over the years. Made a kit for island work and put one in it along with the bola. The bola may have sat unused too long. There’s some corrosion that needs addressing and it has to come apart entirely. There must have been moisture in the bag or in the lanyard rope itself.

To be entirely fair, there were also a couple Rock-O crabs getting a little sad in the same bag. Use it on the reg and you will be pleased. Otherwise, keep clean and store high and dry and you won’t have any surprises. Awesome climbing tools!
