Climbers for Christ

Isn't this how you classify Muslims?

You're a hypocrite, and a liar.
This is quite the accusation. Could you please give examples and your reasoning? I don’t appreciate being called a liar and I would just like to hear your justification. Thank you.

So I’m taking your silence as a retraction, as I asked you if you stand by your accusations and you have chosen not to explain yourself. Calling someone a liar should not be taken lightly and if my character is in question I would like to know why. However, if you won’t say it to my face, so to speak, then I will disregard what you said.

A great short animation, dark yet with some goodness at closing. Almost as if waking up from the Illusion of Fear we all live in.

I've been learning how to shed the fear each day, through Jesus . Did you look at article I posted up in quote to you? I'm curious of your thoughts on that. The greatest trick the devil plays is that he doesn't exist.

You shouldn't worry about it one bit ,John.

Now that things have settled down a bit, I thought I would stir things up a bit.

Something I strongly believe in is my wife! Marriage is something that is very important to me. She is my heart and I am her lungs, we both serve a vital role in the marriage and without the other the marriage would die just as the body would die without the heart or without the lungs. These two work together in different but essential ways. There are these pairs in everything. Heart and lungs, right and left, heat and light. However, I believe this marriage does not end when a partner dies. Because of Heaven this marriage is still strong. I believe that I will be married in Heaven. I believe marriage should not be a till death do us part, but a marriage that continues into the life after. I have seen marriages grow even after one half has left this world, I have seen the love unaffected by this ‘separation’, I believe in marriage in Heaven.

I understand that some of you left a religious life because of some circumstance or reasoning, but I wonder if it was more a problem with the earthly organization you belonged to. There are some religions that make no sense at all...that doesn't mean that all are this confused and misguided. Earthly organizations can be flawed and corrupt, and how they interpret the Word could be wrong...

John I don't think you do understand. It is not about the Earthly organizations at all. It is about the Word.

Like religious text the world around, it is not of supernatural origin. Our destiny is in our own hands.

Most religious indoctrination is a threat to world peace. It is worth standing against.

Thanks man I own you one.webp

You've seen a marriage grow after one of them has died?

You've seen love displayed by a deceased person?

This is off the deep end stuff.

Not surprising though that the conversation has gone here.

Superstition based nonsense.

The concept of "faith" is the underlying problem with religion the world over. The disconnection with reality and empirical evidence-based reasoning is a major issue that allows for fundamentalism and terror throughout the history of the human experience. All religions are implicit in the atrocities that spring from faith-based reasoning.

Cults so influential that they can convince their followers to dismember former colleagues, disown family members, or drink arsenic-laced Kool Aid, cherry flavor while singing hymns and praising their lord.

John I don't think you do understand. It is not about the Earthly organizations at all. It is about the Word.

Firstly, I was referring to the people that have left a religious life because of certain circumstances...I am aware that there are many who believe as you do that the Word is nonsense. I was trying to make the point that earthy organizations are fallible. The trick is that the way we understand the Word is through these organizations, many of which are confused and misled.

You've seen a marriage grow after one of them has died?
You've seen love displayed by a deceased person?

Secondly, Yes, I have seen a marriage grow after the spouse has died, the love and commitment I have seen in the one who 'survives' can easily be witnessed. Of course I have not seen love displayed by a deceased person, but I am not the one who has lost a lifetime partner. If you think it is nonsense there is not much I can do to convince you and I shouldn't try. All I can do is offer these thoughts and see if it helps anyone.

Lastly, all of these examples of incidents of clueless followers doing horrible things could be said about atheists as well. People just do evil things and manipulate others with or without God as the reason. Can you say that without Religion manipulation of others would not happen? Religion is of life, so I think that is the reason it is in everything and is often involved in these circumstances.
