I waited for the Second Coming, even met Jesus at the airport, as he got off the plane. Unfortunetly, ICE was there, too. They promptly deported him. His prior convictions for Sedition Against The State, apparently, warranted his removal.

No, last year I planted some tomatos in a raised bed. The neighborhood cats used it for a bathroom. I got no tomatos, only cat shit.

It seems like many that are opposed here are more angry than disinterested. I wonder the reason for the anger. Was it some circumstance that you faced? Did you lose someone unfairly, and surely the Lord would never do that if he existed? Etc. etc. etc.

I remark on how the greatest minds in our history have all believed in a God. From the very earliest times there has always been a belief in a higher power. This is so interwoven into our culture that a majority of the earths population believe in a God. There are many religions that have become very confused and cause a lot of hurt, and these misguided beliefs should not be considered the norm. I see a lot of the arguments here in apposition to the topic of this thread as weak as they are taken from things that are twisted truths from the start. If you aren't familiar with what the Lord's Word really says can you even form an argument to contradict what is said?

I understand that some of you left a religious life because of some circumstance or reasoning, but I wonder if it was more a problem with the earthly organization you belonged to. There are some religions that make no sense at all...that doesn't mean that all are this confused and misguided. Earthly organizations can be flawed and corrupt, and how they interpret the Word could be wrong...
 
I can't remember the exact flavor, maybe cherry, but 248 heavily armed christians willingly drank this arsenic-laced Kool-Aid after opening fire on an American congressional investigation of child abuse among the adult followers of one Jimmy Jones evangelical preacher who used "the words of our Lord" (the same words you use now) to entice his "flock" into murdering their own children then drank themselves into salvation and everlasting peace.
If there exists any fraction of a mind left in the brainwashing of a human being, killing yourself at the Lord's command is one thing, raping or killing your children for your beliefs is another thing all together.
For God. I've heard that murderous excuse all too many times now.
The mindset of terror. The tragedy of false fear. The election of a lying molester just so you hear the word of God mentioned and allowed to spread.
