2011 Ohio Tree Climbing Competition

Im super stoked for the comp to be in my backyard this year!(almost literally) Just as stoked to hopefully put some faces to some names of you fellow buzzer doods, make some new friends and have a kick weekend! I can't wait
 
Hey chris I sent you my info for volunteering in columbus, looking forward to a good time. Shawn, get ahold of me, I'm down for camping with you guys when ur down there.
 
Soooo... since the cabin is no women allowed, are there showers/ facilities near by for those of us of the female persuasion?
I'm cool bringing my tent, or snagging one of the tree boats if there's an extra, but a bath room would be nice :)

awesome! you're a gentleman & a scholar. Thanks a bunch, it'll be great to meet you :) I'm in Lexington tomorrow night/ Sun morning, but not swinging thru Louisville. Have to make that trip soon, for sure though.
 
Hey there Chris! Just wanted to let you know that Vince Kowalski will not be able to come this year. He had signed on, but some things came up and he is not able to make it. My wife wants to go to Australia, so if it's OK with you all, I'm pretty much 100% positive I'm gonna win this thing.
If I can only get my hands on a good self-help/motivational book-on-tape for the daily commute...

Now that I think of it though, he was in my group one year and I caught his young son tangling up my throwline right before the throwline event....

You better watch that guy! Who knows what nefarious plans he has up his sleeve this year....
 
Good point, I just paired a nice 3-strand lanyard with my new saddle. Sort of like the yin and jang of climbing technology. With the steel snap I think the lanyard alone weighs more than the saddle.

As far as tricks up my sleeves, I've been practicing the footlock in the rain. April is a bit early to expect anything better than partly lousy.

Regardless, it'll be a hoot
 
Here it is. It took awhile but attached is the details and Schedule for the Climbing Comp. We will be meeting at 8 am in the exhibit area off of Clifton Ave to set up on Friday. Lunch and Drinks will be provided.

Those who are in need of overnight accomodations and are not staying in the lodge with the Knot and Rope Guys Please let me know ASAp ( Even if You have already told me)

Hey Chris it looks like Jason Deihl will be coming as well. I didn't know if you'd talked to him or not but he said he's in last I talked to him.
